    I worked all weekend, which means railway modelling money. I'm getting tempted to get one, but are any more versions planned?

    Looks to be a very nice model, but I can't thnk of a reason/excuse to have one on my 1970's BR diesel layout. I wonder what one would look like in BR blue with a yellow smokebox?

    By coincidence, I had the opportunity to give my APT-E its first proper run on a friends garden railway last week - thanks Mark. I also gave my second hand Blue Pullman its first run too. Two super models.

    I was at Southport Flower Show on Saturday, interesting that many of the visitors were pulling along square plastic wheeled trolleys full of their purchases. Some of these trolleys had lids. An alternative to a backpack? Had the trolleys been a bit stronger, they would have made a good seat and step to see over the crowds.

    Good to see yours running Rob, very nice video too, especially the night time shots. By coincidence, mine had its first lengthy run on a friends garden railway on Thursday. I took some video too, but I really struggled to keep the camcorder in focus as it sped round the line.

    Very interesting to see how the models go together. But also explains why I haven't made any exched kits as I don't have the skills - forming curves, pressing on the cranks, soldering grills etc. That Fell looks stunning.

    I quite like the Thumper in maroon and cream. Wonder if Kernow will do a batch with one side in green, one side maroon and cream? Two units for the price of one.

    A bridge colapsed on the tracks, like has happened a Barrow-on-Soar today. A good excuse for not running trains when your layout is playing up at an exhibition.

    That's a bu**er, I'm off work today and the weather is good. Had planned to video the 37 between Lancaster and Preston, plus the Clitheroe cement which is currently being diverted via the WCML due to the S&C closure. The cement was cancelled too, so its decorating instead.

    A problem with the Cumbrian Coast 37's is that parts of the line are single track, and any delay (loco problem, dmu problem, infrastructure problem etc) can cause delays to everything. Furthermore, the 37 diagrams have very short turn round times, so any lateness cannot realy be recovered.

    Many years ago my dad and I were walking on Winter Hill ne Christmas Day. We both needed the loo, we looked around and there was nobody around for miles. So we p****d while admiring the scenery, in mid flow a hang glider swooped down from the sky.

    Nice pic of the Scarborough Spa; I'm tempted to ride it or/and video it, not for the steam but for the 37s.

    My wife said she saw Railway Police today with a speed gun checking that the trains were within the speed limit. Never seen that modelled.

    Many thanks, mine is in storage while we have some building work done, hence I couldn't measure it. I can now order a Train Safe tube of the right length to put it in, and get the builder put the brackets up (my diy skills aren't good enough).

    Could anyone please tell me the length (buffer to buffer) of the complete 6 coach train?

    I've ordered a 4TC and am looking forward to the model. I do prefer moulded handrails as they can't get knocked off as has happened to several of my models (probably as a result of packing and unpacking to attend exhibitions).
