  3. Ok ok, it has taken 2 days, but we are finally here, the wagon is near complete, I think it is complete? So here she is, What do we think? Edit: better pics will be taken tomorrow. Edit edit: it's too dark to take any photos today, (sorry) but I will definitely take some as soon as possible.

  5. Wow, that's coming along really well. Superb job mate, well done.
  6. Thanks for the words of encouragement guys, I really do appreciate it, many thanks. So far I have weathered one side of the wagon and it's going well, so now I will crack on with the other 3 sides, and photos shall be posted tonight. Edit: it's taking longer than i thought, photos will posted tomorrow, sorry.
  7. Thanks for the comment, no, not yet. Dad got an injection on his foot, which means he can't walk now for several weeks, but once it gets better then work shall commence.
  8. Hey look, 100mph, didn't think she could do it. That's the pressure gauge. I know. :-D

  9. They look really superb, well done, you work at a much faster pace than I Can I ask, what paint did you use for the wagon? (It looks like a colour that I could do with) Depending on what roof vents you need, have you seen these? (they might be too modern?) http://www.peco-uk.com/product.asp?strParents=3340,3344&CAT_ID=3350&P_ID=17886
  10. That's exactly the same way as I did it, but I never thought of making a jig to keep the rivets straight, simple but brilliant idea. My rivets are all over the place because I didn't use a jig, but now I know if I make a jig and use it then my results would end up better. You really do learn something new every day. Many thanks Nelson
  11. "undeserved" No way! Your work is simply brilliant, a real inspiration to all. Keep at it, That is an interesting photo, with some very interesting wagons there. The birdcage wagon in the middle does look very interesting indeed are you going to build one? I've seen a very familiar chassis like that before (Hornby I think?) I'll try and have a look for you. One question, if you don't mind me asking. The wagon that you've built (couple of photos up). The corner straps/rivets are brass but the others are plastic, how were the plastic ones done? Many thanks Nelson
  12. They are Fantastic, look so realistic. Well done. When I get round to doing something soon, I'll be sure to post it here when I'm done.
  13. Superb work, I really like the rivets on the wagon and the coach looks brilliant. Well done. Can't wait to see them finished. Nelson
  14. Many thanks for your kind comments guys, i really do appreciate it. Here is how it currently stands, I've added rust to the inside metal work and I've also decided that the wagon won't carry a load (to nice to cover up). Sorry about the lighting, just took the photos there now.
  15. Wow, that is pure amazement, both of you. Such superb work, the overall size of it is just absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing with us, that's what I call inspirational. Well done
  16. First of 3 science GCSE's tomorrow! Biology.

  17. All of these are are absolutely brilliant, such superb work all of you, please do keep them coming. Peter (gravy train) If you don't mind me asking? What material did you use to build your coaling towers? The texture is just amazing. Many thanks Nelson

  21. May we remember those who lost their lives for our freedom.

  22. Absolutely beautiful, the weathering is just so superb and realistic, well done.
  23. Here's how the wagon is looking so far. I've weathered the under frame but not the body just yet. What do we think of the wooden colour on the inside? http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/78266-painting-realistic-wood/&do=findComment&comment=1219627
