  1. Bridget (our 7 1/4 gauge loco) failed its accumulation test again, ah well always next time.

  2. Wow, the're nice coaches, very accurate and brilliantly made, well done. i would have been more accurate and closer to the TV series, but I was following my brothers orders LOL.
  3. Absolutely beautiful models, well done to the builders and painters, I would love to own an Atlantic engine. Can't wait for the next instalment on the layout.
  4. You've made a Superb job of the roof, well done. Edit: can't wait for your next updates.
  5. Had a brilliant day at the 7 1/4 gauge gathering today. Video will be uploaded tonight.

  6. Hi, My brother (aged 11) has decided that he wants to model the original Thomas the tank engine and friends, so he bought the Hornby Annie and clarabel, but wasn't happy with the colour and asked me to re paint them, so as a brother I painted the coaches for him. They still need some weathering, but that will be done at a later date. First job was to convert clarabel into a brake coach, just like the original Thomas series. This was done with humbrol model filler and a lot of sanding, but it looks well, and my brothers very happy with it. The filler before sanding, and if your wondering why the windows have a purple tinge, it's just the humbrol maskol to cover the windows when painting. Both coaches received a medium brown shade and the fantastic Phoenix precision paint LMS coach roof grey, all hand painted and look alright. Here's the finished Annie coach. And here's the finished clarabell brake coach. Another job which my brother wanted me to do was paint the letters NW (north western) onto an oil tanker, and this was also hand painted with a steady hand. Trust me the letters aren't slanted, it's the way the photo was taken, weathering on the tanker was of my brothers work (looks good). So I hope you enjoyed this different update and if you have any questions then Please feel to ask. Many thanks Nelson

  10. I'm on ipad and I hit the wrong buttons all the time. Pictures on this thread are fantastic, sometimes I struggle to realise its a model, well done everyone. Here's my go, it isn't very good but it's worth a try. It's a Dapol pug kit weathered. Things I would change would be the clean 21ton and the date (but I wouldn't know how to do that) Thanks
  11. Come on, when will our order arrive, I can't wait to start on a new project.
