    Hello fellow friends, As Halloween approaches, school is off for 1 week (yay) which means I can get down to do some serious modelling. What I'm hoping to do, is to start work on a LMS NCC 12ton van. A very unique van. But as with every model, re search is key, to get as accurate as can be. I look through books and websites along with photos to see if I can get any info or pictures on the prototype. I was lucky to find some plans online, which I will be working from. http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/content.php/244-NCC-12-Ton-Van-Drawings An order will be placed for more plasticard and some roof ventilators for the van in due course.       If your refering to the Microsoft one (on Windows phones) its because they and Google have had a big tiff and Google has cut them off.

    Hi David, All I can say is "wow" your models look superb and are very well built to high standards, the detail is just amazing. I've always wanted to scratch build a loco, but I guess I've never picked up the courage to have a go, but this thread changes all that, now I really want to have a go at some NCC engines soon :-). If you don't mind me asking, I might have missed it somewhere, but what type of brass bearings do you use? And, what are your thoughts on javis scenics plasticard? Please keep doing what you do best as it is really inspirational and I can't wait to see the finished loco, and others to come. Many thanks Nelson
