    Oxford N7

Following on from Unit basher's post, does anyone have a factory sound fitted version they can take a video of? The GER sound version appears to have sold relatively well so people must have them, but no sign of them on any forums etc.
  2. Obviously there are likely to be detail differences that 37 aficionado's will point out, but that model would make a good basis for renumbering to 37087, which stayed in that livery/headcode box combination until 2012.
  3. Was just having a browse, and noticed that Frizinghall Models have two rare bargains in their pre-owned section. Bachmann 31-676k Collectors Club RfD 85 for only £125 - https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/39886/Bachmann-clas-85-Electric-Doncaster-Plant And a big one IMO, a Bachmann/Locomotion GNR Atlantic in BR Black for only £125 - https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/39889/NRM-Locomotion-GNR-Atlantic-BR-Black I love the Atlantic but I've spent too much this month and I can't justify it!
  4. Just checked back and there are some new additions at Clarks Railworks, seemingly all Heljan. Lots of 33's in various liveries for £85, a plain green 27 for £85, a Baby Deltic for £85 and a Hymek for £90. Also several new 1361 and 1366 Panniers available for £75 too. https://clarkrailworks.com/collections/oo-gauge
  5. What is/where is your ballast from if you don't mind me asking? It looks the part.
  6. You and I both, I picked up the Railroad TTS one. Looks like several people have had a lot of joy out of Clark’s which is good.
  7. Ellis Clark has launched a side operation called Clarks Railworks. Had a look, it appears to be selling off someones old collection so there's only 1 of what's available, but there's tons of different stuff available - Some bargains, or hard to find models that stand out are: Hornby Manchester Ship Canal Peckett, £80 - quite a hard one to find now and cheap. TMC Weathered Bachmann Ivatt 2MT - £75. DCC Fitted Bachmann 4MT Tank - £65. Heljan Lime and Green Falcon - £90. Heljan Beyer Garratt - £165 Rake of Bachmann Birdcages - £115. Link here: https://clarkrailworks.com/collections/all-stock Free RM Tracked delivery too, so have a butchers. No connection, just a customer.
  8. I think its almost been completely mined over the last week! Lots of goodies which have gone, still a few things left though, such as this FNW 150 for £89: http://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=340_350_355_357&products_id=7060
  9. Back to Hereford Models, I've had my eye on a Green Bachmann 105 with Speed Whiskers (31-326) for a while, and as its payday tomorrow I've decided to take the plunge. Link here: http://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=340_350_355_357&products_id=6739 £80, 1 left. Absolute bargain when you consider that Hattons have one available secondhand for £212! EDIT: 25 minutes after my post and the last one has gone already!
  10. Seen that shot before, it's one of my favourites of the Middy, oozes atmosphere. Those Hattons jobbies whilst not being completely accurate will give a good representation I think. I still hold out hope either Hornby or Oxford will do those GER corridor coaches but I doubt it, sadly. Upbech is looking good, keep up the good modelling.
  11. That is a bl**dy incredible deal. I spent my eBay windfall this week, but if I hadn't I'd be sorely tempted, this coming from an OO gauge modeller.
  12. Ooo err what's this! I check in now and again to see your latest works of art, and I recall a while back saying the GE is hard to resist - looks like you have come over to the dark side after all! They're fantastic models and look right at home, enjoy.
  13. DC Kits have a very good Hornby sale on at this link: https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=246 I picked up a BR lined black D16 for £75, and they have a few other D16's and J15's available at that price which is very decent as the cheaper older stock sold out a while back. Several older, hard to find steam models available at great prices, few things that stood out were: R3168 Railroad Duke of Gloucester, £60. R3273 Crosti 9F, £72. R3115 West Country, Exeter £120 (not necessarily a bargain but a well-sought after one I believe) R3229 GWR Star £75 R3105 GWR Castle £92.50 Plenty of other stuff on there too. No connection other than a customer earlier today and thought I would pass on the info. Fill yer boots!
  14. Ah right, fair enough! To be honest I'm not sure why it would've gone to Trowse for a shunt manouevre, and the whole formation was facing Norwich when I saw it, so unless the 37 ran round it seems to have come from somewhere? The Tractor went back to its perch in Norwich station sidings around 3pm this afternoon. I did note 08480 parked by the station as well, but that doesn't appear to have been involved in any way.
  15. No worries! Will keep checking other fora and flickr to see if anyone posts the gen for now.
  16. I’ve just seen 37608 dragging two 755’s back to the naughty step at Crown Point. One was 325, does anyone know what the other one is please? Thanks in advance.
  17. Whilst I prefer modelling the steam era for various reasons, my main interest day to day is in the recent and current rail scene. I don't usually get weak at the knees at models of more modern prototypes, but the promo shot of the 91 in IC Swallow looks the dogs danglies! It'll be very difficult for me not to free up some cash somehow and buy one.
  18. I was hoping for another GER loco but that would’ve been asking a lot. The GER vans are a pleasant surprise however!
  19. Can see something a little more niche from the LMS such as a Tilbury Tank. Pretty pre-grouping livery to sell it in too.
  20. Two brothers. In a van. And then a meteor hit. And they ran as fast as they could.

Nothing on Youtube yet for ones with factory fitted sound. I checked out videos of the Dean Goods with factory fitted sound, and to my ear the sound seems to be of decent quality, and uses ESU/Loksound kit IIRC. Hopefully the N7 will be to the same standard.
  22. Great news, a high-spec 37 has been much requested for a while. To save me scrolling through 11 pages, plain BR Green seems to be a fairly chunky omission from the range - will that follow on as a limited edition/special commission? One of the pilot batch in plain green to such a high-spec would sell well I would've thought!
  23. No idea what Hornby will announce, but I think both a re-tooled Black 5 and 8F make enormous commercial and modelling sense and would get lots of cash through the door. An SECR L1 is also a good shout, along with CIWL stock perhaps? I say this every year in every manufacturers' topic, but the one model I would love to get my hands on is an LNER E4.
