  1. The answer is compromise. I planned a layout for some years before actually making a start on building it. Even at that stage I had to make some compromises to fit available space. When I started building the layout I realised my manual skills were not as good as my designing skills. I reached the point of giving up, but, thanks to encouragement and suggestions from RMWebbers, I made some changes and carried on building. What I've ended up with is not what I planned, it certainly wouldn't pass rivet-counter inspection, but I have somewhere I can run trains and enjoy. If we look for perfection it will never happen

I knew a lady who had been a widow for years. She used to say she had three men in her life: Will Power got her up in the morning, Percy Verance got her through the day and Arthur Itis kept her company all the time
  3. Is there an RMWeb meet up at Warley, or did that get dropped as it took away exhibition viewing time?
  4. I do hope that those struggling to accept this latest hiccup are RMWeb Gold or at least RMWeb Premium members
  5. I'm not exactly in the know, but there appears to be an X12 service which runs from the coach station to the NEC.
  6. As @The Stationmaster said, the insurance company will be looking for the cheapest option. :)

    £1500 - £5000 from other online sources
  8. I guess TicketFactory is set up primarily to sell tickets to concerts etc where you buy programmes at the event. It does what it says on the tin - sells tickets. As Chris M has pointed out this event is run by volunteers. Because it is at a large venue, we tend to think it has all the resources of other events at the same venue, paid staff to do all the preparation etc
  9. I suspect the answer is: Research as much as you can Try out the options Decide which works best for you One man's meat in another man's poison
  10. It still happens on certain threads if you're on the Premium subscription, It's a known bug, but seems to be low on the Techie priority list.

I've always wondered what Mint In Box meant; now I know, a free After Eight included with the purchase!
  23. So is a Rapido Dynamometer Car which fell off the back of a lorry (and survived) worth more or less than the normal price? :)
