    Don-a-soar over it
  2. It was intended as a tongue in cheek comment - hence the attempt at a smiley

Interesting how it changes from Not quite Perfect in the title to Far from Perfect in the description
  4. Perhaps the solution is for all users to contribute a fair share towards the running costs of the forum, then there will be no need for adverts. No payment - no access - simples :)
  5. Haven't heard that expression for a while. A work colleague used to add 'Black as a cow's guts' !

Another gem from that well known Sheffield retailer: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204214395241? Good condition but - it's a noisy and jerky runner; and that's before you look at the picture. Sounds like they've found a new source of staff; ex estate agents. They tend to make sows ears sound like silk purses

Apology offered and accepted. As I get older, I seem to be getting worse at opening my mouth and putting my foot in it. Not sure if my mouth is getting bigger or my foot getting smaller. :)

Looks like I'll have to eat humble pie and apologise to the seller then. :) I was confusing the pic with a SR M7.

I've been having an 'interesting' email discussion with the seller of this item over what I see as a discrepancy between the title and picture. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304763370068 Is this an N15???
  10. Both images look the same to me, viewed on a Chromebook. Is it just a problem when viewed with IOS

Not exactly madness, but a contrasting background always helps: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295451739467?
  12. Sounds like a good idea; I wouldn't recommend Fusion 360 for a beginner. I used other CAD packages during my working years, but when, in retirement I started using Fusion 360, I didn't find it that easy to pick up. (Probably wasn't helped by the typical man attitude of I don't need instructions/tutorials, I can find out how to use it. :~) )
  13. Probably easier to rename his one and start a new one about the landslip

Having spent a lot of time looking for mine, and usually only finding it when I'm looking for something else, I have thought a spare might be useful but I'd only end up losing both. I had five pencils in my workshop at one time; lately I'm lucky if I can find one. :)
  15. That could be a good way of identifying yourself as an RMWebber; the equivalent of the Freemasons handshake
  16. @AY ModWe're still here only because of your efforts which in many cases I suspect are over and above your job description (assuming you have one).
  17. I thought that as I was writing it, that;s why I added the last line, :)
  18. Which reminds me of a design engineer I worked with, who referred to bosses or similar protrusions on mouldings etc as up-stickeries

  20. One cause of loft condensation I believe is insulation pushed right out to the eaves. My understanding (and I'm happy to be corrected) is that there should be a gap, to allow air to circulate.
  21. Thank you @Gwiwerfor resurrecting this thread. As a cancer sufferer (thankfully currently in remission) I too have had a lot of support from here.

Is this a record for a Del Prado model: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165830120298?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aF9dKf7mRw2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=zGBHSdYdRyy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY £1 for the model, £19 for the name???
