  1. Thank you Paul,in which case it'll get numbered as your star machine. Rob
  2. Also agree with you guys,I've got a green one with wasp stripes and it really is a good model, not done anything with it yet but I'll also be fitting a Mr Soundguy chip to it and numbering it as either D2578 or one of the ones based at Goole. There was a test moulding of the 03 at Warley and its looking very promising to be another winner. Rob
  3. Thank you, quite easy, painted the seat a pale grey then made a mask from some fine brass mesh folded over the seat,a quick blast of black pointing straight at the base then seat back and your done. Can't take credit for it as I saw it done in an MRJ article years ago, hope that helps you out. Rob

  8. Hi Ian I had 247 Developments make me one 10+years ago when I modelled in 4mm to go on a deltic, not sure if he added it to the range or kept it as a one off, could be worth a look or an ask. Rob
  9. The last time I spoke with the main man was Kettering this year and their still looking at doing a class 14 which will definitely be on my shopping list,I still think a class 31 would be a good addition to the range. Rob
  10. Found this while searching class 05 stuff https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-wU9JDUnu8Q Rob
  11. In Strathwood Books "Looking back at Westerns" page 19 has a pic quoted as D1021 Western Cavalier in MFYE livery dated 26/12/68,is this a misprint or did it carry this for a very short time before going BR blue? Rob
  12. There JLTRT castings,as are most of the other details to go on it,which one are you doing? Rob
  13. Looking good Phill,I built one of these for our club layout and its an excellent kit,I used white metal bogies (GJH Plant I think) on mine to add a bit extra weight. Rob
  14. My vote is for a 7mm English Electric Stephenson 0-4-0 DH,would be nice to have a model of ours at the Yorkshire Wolds Railway. Rob
  15. It flew over ours in Hessle at 1.30 today heading north, fantastic sight and sound. Rob
  16. Enjoy your retirement Brian, after 43 years you've certainly earned it. Rob
  17. Very nice layout Stephen and some quality cars in the carpark (minus the VW camper),will hopefully get to Caistor show to see it. Rob

  19. Quite agree Martyn, the first O gauge item I built was a JLTRT class 50 and it was no more difficult than the many 00 gauge kits I'd built before.I've got a 47/4 reserved with Laurie when they come out. Rob
  20. Looking good Brian,I've got one of these partly done as well, how did you find the fit/alignment of the tank ends to main barrel, mine took a lot of filling and sanding to get right. Rob
