  1. A short running session featuring one of my Bachmann Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F Class 2-8-0s, No. 53810, edited with real sound. Sounds are provided by preserved class members from my sound collection, captured at various Gala and Preserved Railways over the past few years. Here we see No. 53810 in BR late black, with typical weathered finished, hauling a short goods train. Hope you enjoy!
  2. Thanks ever so much! I try my best.
  3. A short running session featuring my recently modified Hornby 'Generic' 4 & 6 wheel coaches repainted into S&DJR Prussian blue livery. In this video we see the rake in action, hauled behind Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway (SDJR) Midland Railway 1532 Class 0-4-4T, No. 54 on my photo-plank micro layout, edited with real sound. Hope you enjoy!
  4. April 2021 would had seen the Bentley Model Railway Group host their annual TRAINWEST Model Railway Exhibition, Corsham, Wiltshire. However, like many Model Railway Exhibition over the past year, the event had to sadly be postponed. So to mark the occasion, I've picked some of my favourite layouts from previous years to create this TRAINWEST Model Railway Exhibition highlights video, showcasing a wide selection of amazing model railways, in a variety of scales and gauges. All being well, the show hopes to return bigger and better than ever next year! Hope you enjoy!
  5. Ha! Yes, Will get it changed out. Theres been quite a debate on the video itself and on other social media platforms, with people saying yes and no
  6. Morning Edwardian. Thanks for the feed back on the S&DJR coaches. Will look out for a suitable paint and get around to adding the vanished wood boards
  7. Glad you enjoyed the edit! Certainly can't beat the sound of the real thing. Done nothing to the lighting, so must be the layout lighting.
  8. A short running session featuring the all new British Rail Class 25 from Heljan edited with real sound. Sounds are provided by a number of fellow class from my sound collection, captured at various Gala and Preserved Railways over the past few years. Here we see D7661 in smart BR Blue with small yellow panels, hauling a short rake of Mk1s on the Peco loft layout, Peckwick Rye. Hope you enjoy!
  9. The complete rake S&DJR Hornby 'Generic' four- & six-wheer repaints stand on Lyncombe Vale. Still a few minor details to finished, plus the addition passengers, but very happy overall.
  10. March 2021 would had seen the Nailsea & District Model Railway Club host their annual Model Railway Exhibition, at Nailsea School, Somerset. However, like many Model Railway Exhibition over the past year, the event had to sadly be cancelled. So to mark the occasion, I've picked some of my favourite layouts from previous years to create this Nailsea & District Model Railway Exhibition highlights video, showcasing a wide selection of amazing model railways, in a variety of scales and gauges. All being well, the show hopes to return bigger and better than ever next year! Hope you enjoy!
  11. Na, don't worry I know that wasn't the case
  12. I know, but as they are 'Generic' I'm not to fussed. Beats the S&DJR Blue Dapol Stanier stock I was previously running
  13. Been working on converting a number of the gas lite varients into S&DJR Prussian blue, for my Somerset & Dorset layout Lyncombe Vale. I've scratch built the lower running boards, which I feel instantly transforms these vehicles and gives them more of an S&DJR look. Here's the first nearing completion, which started off life as in NBR livery.
  14. Narrow Gauge Model Railway Exhibition Over the years I've seen some amazing narrow gauge layouts on the exhibition circuit - these have inspired me to also get involved, building a number of my own 009 and G scale layouts. However, over the course of 2020 & 2021 shows like these and many other events had to sadly be cancelled. So, I've looked back through my archive and picked some of my favourite narrow gauge layouts I've seen from shows around the country, to create this special Narrow Gauge Model Railway Exhibition video, showcasing a wide selection of amazing narrow gauge model railways, in a variety of scales and gauges. Shows featured in this video include; Mendip Model Railway Group - Finescale Exhibition 2017 Bristol Model Railway Exhibition 2016 -2019 Lydney Model Railway Show 2019 West Camel Model Railway Exhibition 2016 - 2019 Due to the sheer volume of shows and layouts, I hope to bring future instalments feature more amazing model railways in the not to distant future. Hope you enjoy!
  15. Ah a dual! How, very delightful! Honestly can't wait for this!
  16. Once again, thanks for the info. Though was referring to the engineering above (just going of the description listed)
  17. Thanks for all the info. Going to have a little tester to see how I get on hand lining on a test piece later. If all else fails, I'll finish them in unlined blue similar ventilated parcels van above, with some suitable weathering. Callum
  18. Thanks for that. One of the images I was looking at for reference. Tommy eye it looks like it's making lining all together.
  19. Well, no particular date, just something that will sit nicely behind my 1P, 3F, 4F ect, though I understand most if not all of the 4 and 6 wheel stock was gone by then. Its just a short rake of Hornby Generic coaches, so not going for accuracy, just something that looks right
  20. Thanks for the info, so am I right in thinking that yellow with black beading would be best?
  21. Hence the reason for this topic. To see if anyone has any more info on the subject
  22. A short night themed running session on Fry's Somerdale featuring the Hardy's Hobbies Fry's Sentinel. This is the first time I've managed to get around to operating the layout in the dark, with just the street lamp providing a atmospheric glow to the scene. Admittedly my camera was struggling with the low lighting for this one, so will be looking at ways to improve it for the next. Hope you enjoy!
  23. Morning all. I'm currently in the process of repainting a couple of coaches into S&DJR Prussian Blue and was wondering if anyone had any info on the styles of liveries used. I'm very familiar with the wonderful lined out design ( though, I'm holding out for Hatton's to replicate this on their 'Genesis' coaches, all being well), but have seen a number of layouts feature a slightly more 'Simpler' livery, which I guess is a later variant? 'Chewton Mendip' (as seen in the screen shots below from one of my videos of the layout at various exhibitions) features stock in the livery, which is look I wish to go for. The coaches in question I'm currently painter are the new Hornby 'Generic' 4 & 6 wheelers (so far from prototypical, but will hopefully look the part). So far I've painted the ends black (though just I've just spotted they are blue in the images), though I might stay with the black rather than stripping them again. Any info would be much appreciated.
