  1. This was announced before the new tooling along with Greyfriars Bobby in LL Blue, they stated when new tooling was done these would be released as new tooling. Probably kept numbers to avoid retailers having to contact customers to check if pre order still wanted.
  2. I wonder if that will mean some other 66 liveries in the May announcement if they have the tooling out. I'm hoping for a triple grey GB railfreight
  3. I was advised that new Fairlie on its way to my local shop should be in stock Monday or Tuesday this week
  4. There are still some major issues with how Hornby allocate stock regionally my local based on Kirkcaldy a stopping point for LNER Azumas got allocated 1 but did get allocated a total of 7 4Veps from the 2 liveries and the steam loco he was allocated the most of was the M7 in BR early green and not for example the Haymarket A4. To say he was bemused is an understatement!
  5. in Scoonie Hobbies today and first of the 6 wheel sentinels arrived today in the MSC blue looks nice and to done to same standard as 4 wheel version
  6. Found out today Network rail version now sold out at Bachmann as my local shop tried to increase order and has been advised all taken, thankfully he has enough to cover pre orders on the way
  7. I believe it's the current mainline version that's coming this time and previous rep edition was 80s version
  8. I'm hoping for a 320 emu with the ngauge due at Glasgow from their buddies at Revolution it would be another good tie in for the show
  9. Hoping for a ScotRail and delivery for Glasgow exhibition at end of Feb
  10. Any updates on production and delivery of the tankers?
  11. I would support your local shop where possible, we are lucky to have them as many others don't anymore. This mess is Hornby's doing and each shop has to try to manage as best possible. My local already have multiple customer asking for items they have already sold out on, he even joked saying he soon wouldn't need his Hornby cabinet as he won't have anything to put in it. He did say Rep will be taking a wishlist of extra stock he would like for any unallocated stock and feedback for the bosses. Hornby might see the demand for items and try to boost production this has already happened on tier 1 Drax wagons.
  12. In Scoonie Hobbies this afternoon and Steve the owner confirmed production has been increased and his allocation upped by Hornby but he has had many enquiries so possibly him and other will have these spoken for already
  13. Spoke to retailer today Hornby have basically set out what each shop will receive in quantities for most of the new loco's and certain other rolling stock items. There may be some items offered later to increase orders if a shop does not want all the stock allocated ie my shop in Scotland does not see a lot of demand for new VEP but one in South East probably would love some extra. His biggest worry is most of his allocation is selling out and catalogue just arrived so people will be asking and items sold out before they even have a look. This then drives them to Hornby website who seem to have plenty to preorder.
  14. Re NSE 50 a lot of Hornby's relivery catalogue shots are actually photo shopped images if you look at LL Blue it has same black windows they probably did it first then amended to NSE but forgot to remove black windows. I wouldn't rely too much on these images for actual finish on models ( I am not saying it will be correct upon release they do have a history with livery issues)
  15. Have you tried factory reset on chip to number 3 and back to your programmed number? If still on 3 set to another number and then back to 3 will also attempt a reset.
  16. in Scoonie Hobbies today and picked up sound fitted Earl of Merioneth and its a stunning model! While chatting to Steve the owner an email arrived from Bachmann advising all 3 sound versions now sold out at Bachmann so be quick if you want one.
  17. Hornby rep advised that Azuma's are on route but delayed by hold ups at ports in USA now expected in UK mid December
  18. Hornby rep visited Scoonie Hobbies and my dad was asking about the Azuma and was advised Hornby have a container on the way but has been delayed by the hold ups at ports in the USA and now expected mid December. Possible they could be in that delivery but it shows how things are delayed totally out with their control.
  19. Bachmann have said these will be released as the new tooling some point next year
  20. Novembers Rail Express has a review of the standard Dc model of 47004, it appears to be a well detailed model and a step forward with all the correct specifications per real locomotive.
  21. I was sure I saw some in my local shop on Saturday and I called to check they have 4 packs left. If you are needing them call Steve at Scoonie Hobbies on 01592 651792 he is closed on a Wednesday I'm sure he could post them out
  22. This has to be one of the best value models you can buy at present with an rrp of £109.99 and that's before any retailer discount.
  23. I'm happy as not a fan of Hornsby's GB blue and continued use of 8 pin decoders. Bachmann will use an 18 or 22 decoder.
  24. Bachmann did say before the models were delivered that they would look at restaurant cars if the sales were good enough.
  25. My dad has picked up a set and said the same about the drag from the pick ups and issues derailing he had not had a chance to look at resolving so I will pass on comments about couplings for him to check.
