  1. So I did have a go at some elevation........sorted the alignment out first Then cut some plasticard pieces of varying thickness and numbered them in groups Did a few trail fits Then all pinned down
  2. That's a lovely gesture Ian, very kind of you 😀 Quite frustrating really being an Oxford lad and living in the North West 🤣 when there seems to be so many of you all down there now!!!!! Still if I'm ever visiting family I'll more than bear you offer in mind, thanks
  3. Nice one Ian, well done, not seen the extension yet but looking forward to it one day. Hope you're well 😀
  4. So nearly a year later and I'm not sure where to begin really. Progress has been steady but with losing the photos from the thread earlier in the year and with a number of personal issues to deal with I wasn't too sure if to continue the topic. Well having realised that it isn't actually too difficult to repopulate the pictures (which I have began doing) I thought I would share a bit of an update. Firstly I made a bridge Built a sea/river bed And then began some serious planning for the end board With the intermediate result being this Now I have hundreds of photo's showing the points being installed and adding some elevation to the track and if anyone would like to see them I would be more than prepared to share them. There is no way that what I've done is the right way and I have learnt from a lot of mistakes but I have taken quite a few step by step images along the way and so if you would like them shared please just ask. My aim is to keep this post quite brief and to say that things are moving again and over the coming weeks hopefully I can update you to where we are now. Thanks to those of you out there that have kept in touch and anyone who reads this and thinks "perhaps I should put my photos back up" please do as there is a lot of my original inspiration missing from the forum and it isn't drastically difficult Cheers everyone
  5. We should have been on that eh 🙄 Bet it sounded good 😁
  6. I look forward to that, it's looking really good Ian, I so wish I could get landscape looking half as good as that!!!!
  7. Are these any good, not my best picture of a voyager but the background might be useful. Solihull March2014
  8. I think the weeds look rather good and a good base for anything moving forward, I'm sure I have some photo's taken the the end of Solihul station which was fenced off decades ago, if I find them I'll post them if you like? Other than that isn't there an overgrown station near Smethwick Galton Bridge, I've only ever noticed it when going past but I seem to recall that a lot of the trees at the rear overhang the platform lots adding to the effect. Keep up the great work and sharing your pictures 😀
  9. Miss you Marcus, hope you are keeping well 🙂
  10. This horn Jim? Thanks as always, one of the great things with Working From Home still
  11. Hi Andy, all looking good as always and once again enjoyable videos, something was telling me all along that Bute Road wasn't going to stand the test of time 😀 May I ask if you are using solenoid point motors what CDU do you use please? It's just I have the gaugemaster one and I really can't seem to get it to fire more than one at a time let alone 3 🤣
  12. Day Return to Inverkeithing, never too long to wait to get back and it is a stunning trip especially with the new road bridge alongside as well 😀
  13. I was pretty pleased to stumble across this yesterday morning. It's booked to run past the house at around 5 in the morning and in fact is often early, now I'm not really a morning person but when it's running an hour and a half late, checked at the previous signal before the hill and the sun is rising.......priceless
  14. Thanks for the tones the other day, I think the morning ones were better but I had just come off of a teams meeting and you were already approaching signal 9002 so I rushed out of the house but had forgot my phone!!!!! Your colleagues weren't as friendly today
  15. A cracking start there.........mine are still in the box!!!!! What did you use, I'm still scared to death of weathering!!!!!! If it runs again in daylight do you want me to take some still pics? There are a couple more videos of empty log carriers on my Signal9001 YouTube account if you are interested
  16. That's good going that is..........
  17. Not sure I'd like to be the owner of Fiddlers Yard.......an Ex Friend Must remember to always be nice to Andy
  18. Thanks for all the help gents, lets see if I get one!!!!!
  19. Thanks for the tip, but it looks like they may have all gone
  20. I just found out I'm too late for the Network Rail one.......that'll teach me for contracting covid and staying away from the outside world
  21. You mentioning the stanchions, there's a right mix if you watch this video and pause on the latter wagons. I don't often get to video it as it usually runs past the house just gone 1 in the morning.......but boy it does sound good
