  1. I know a group that have a 6 coach Mk1 TPO set they could borrow ( at a price ) 😀
  2. I had heard a while ago that RM was thinking of putting the post back on the rails by using containers.
  3. 56094 with the mix of 00 & O gauge numbers and I think melmerby, was just pulling your leg.
  4. Looks like a flange lubricator. I'm sure someone here will give you the full workings of it.
  5. That is 'spot on' looks great and speed is just right. Brilliant!
  6. You don't think he bumped into Liam Neeson by any chance
  7. Mid green inside, dark brown wood floor, brass track for gates. Top dark grey ( dusty looking ) top cross beam and the rest black.
  8. As the lifting rod operates the geared quadrants, moving inwards, they then effectively 'grab' the wire stopping it dead, which in turn pulls in the car safety gear. On older lifts they were knarled rollers that dug into the guides stopping the lift car. After a safety gear test, out come the big files to remove the rough indents left on the guides. I worked for 3 years with a company with the unfortunate name of Porn & Dunwoody Lifts, just around the corner from the Globe theatre and I think where taken over by Otis.
  9. Bowler hatted toff telling Bobby Ball the train has to go that way!
  10. Fig 61 shows an over speed governor, which operates the safety gear on the bottom of the lift car should the wires break or the motor over speed in the down direction or the brake fails. The 'dogs' bottom left, dig into the small wire rope and thus pull in the safety gear underneath.
  11. A bit modern but gives you the general idea of what the top looks like -
  12. Some period photo's of lift motor's and equipment going in around London Underground stations - https://digital.hagley.org/AVD_1970176 There would be a main support beam going across the top of the 'car' to which the wire ropes are attached, sometimes 4 sometimes 6 depending on the weight the car needs to carry ( older Otis lifts had leaded ends and were a pain when doing a re-rope ) Guide shoes here - https://www.elevatorequipment.co.uk/car-equipment/guide-shoes older type T409 or T410 no nylon insert, just greased. 2 shoes on top 2 on the bottom Guides are 'T' shaped, the thinner top of the T faces the wall and the other section is thicker for the shoes to ride. Underneath the car, another beam with the shoes and safety gear, which dug into the guides if the main ropes broke.
  13. Search eBay with just 'Hither Green' usually has some photos or postcards of the station.
  14. Looking a bit clean. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154067094799?hash=item23df1d4d0f:g:Fi8AAOSweohfTL2F
  15. I'd go on a weekend, more likely the volunteers will be there and the museum will be open or give them a call, just to make sure.
  16. Hope this helps ( and link works! ) http://heritage-centre.co.uk/
  17. Best I could do with something so small, 8mm long with a shoulder to act as a stop.
  18. I'll get a photo up as soon as tomorrow, it's not one of the coarse thread type. Only has a short thread to stop you going through the brass insert in the front buffer beam end.
  19. I spoke to a helpful gentleman in the Tech department who informed me that it's unlikely they have any spares for loco's made between 2002 and 2016 anymore and that he couldn't give me a 'spec' as not having one to hand. He went on to suggest Peter's Spares, who like Lendons, Newmodellers shop and quite a few others are out of stock on the small screws pack ( X8855 ) and the only seller on eBay wants £6.00 inc postage, which works out at £36-£48 for 6-8 screws.
  20. Hi all. Does anyone have any of the above screws spare, I'm looking ideally for 8 but 6 will cover the projects in hand at the moment. Free or small fee is good. Many thanks.
  21. 33002 running through New Cross Gate.
  22.
