  1. Would these be of any use? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282576987893?hash=item41cae6a6f5:g:CYgAAOSwC6NhCwQI
  2. Look's like ''Our Hilda'' written along the bottom part of the loco.
  3. Might be a bargain here for someone. https://www.whsmith.co.uk/modelzone/Hornby/?gclid=CjwKCAiAs92MBhAXEiwAXTi25yYIxTOhnLAhWcZGfrQDdcR6f_-bblBRlrU1voL4AY8Q4DP5wZGvCRoCF78QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&start=0

I'm fairly certain I have the paperwork you need, I'll check later today and let you know. Can either make a copy and post to you or scan and email ( maybe even send to you on here as an attachment )

If it's anything important, I wouldn't attach it to a public message on here.

  5. Have a look at 'York station in the 1950's' by Kirtlypete. Some amazing work there.
  6. The photo looks a bit 'iffy' to me. Something not quite right around the edges of the lads.
  7. I travelled there back in the late 70's early 80's to visit my grandparents and it was at that time known as Dovercourt. It changed from Dovercourt Bay in 1972. I've lightened the photo quite a bit, it shows something in the four foot at the far end of the crossover but nothing closest to the camera. Never saw any passenger train's on the right hand line, only freight, usually containers or car carriers.
  8. Hi Alex. I'm hoping it's just me and the angle of the photo but it look's like it's bowing up at the buffer end and there's little/ no clearance between the bottom of the chassis and the top of the bogie third wheel set back.
  9. @Oldddudders Do you remember the rather round, Scottish MOM based ( I think ) at London Bridge, covered down to Charlton - Blackheath - Hither Green. There's another 'character'

  12. I've had a look through from page 1 and not seen any photo's of this, so think it's safe to post these 2. Location, Leyton Yard early 70's
  13. My apologies for that Guys. Must have missed it.
  14. Anyone like to have a guess at this one. Photo taken I believe in the 70's at Peterborough.
  15. Click on the photo, takes you to the flickr site with more details of location.
  16. Interesting looking bit of stock up against buffer stop.

  18. Going to stick my neck out on this and say that I'm fairly certain that the photo of the 2 railway men with their hats up, is Blackheath station. Left hand side is the bay platform and a siding, that later on, a weed killer train was kept. The water tanks were L1 tenders I've been told. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackheath_railway_station#/media/File:Blackheath_railway_station_1814222_fec4318b.jpg The canopies on both sides were shortened at some point. The tall dark area on the right between the support and the start of the wall posters, is the door to the downside staff room.
  19. Some very fond memories of Manningtree station. Used change there to go see my grandparents who lived in Dovercourt. The best day of my young life ( 13-14 yo ) was a cab ride in a class 37, all the way from Liverpool St to Manningtree. The platforms were shorter then, so the loco had to pull past the ramp, can you imagine what it was like for me to climb down off the loco and walk back to the platform at that age! The engine looked huge to me. When we went there, we changed onto the 'Little train ' to Dovercourt, that in it's self was a great line to travel back then. Happy days.
  20. Does it come apart easy or is it a mare and need a lot of hacking?
