I remember first coming across your layout a few months ago and spending many hours over many days being absolutely captivated by your work, ingenuity and images. Brilliant stuff! One thing that keeps springing to mind every time I dip back in is a drivers eye video of a trip or two along your line. Would be an amazing journey!

was looking at the first two pictures trying to imagine what once was - then got to the 3rd image which makes the whole site so much easier to understand - thanks :-) Is it me or does that say "fish pen" next to the station building? What would that be about?

I was... It has been returned... My own fault, in future i'll not be looking at anything without a more complete set of photos - even to a less than expert such as myself a shot of the undercarriage would have seen me hitting the back button sharpish...

I probably shouldn't own up to this but there is quite a nasty side to this box reselling malarky with some individuals. I bought a locomotive a few weeks ago, renumbered and so on - virtually brand new in box and all of that. What I actually received was a much earlier version of the same locomotive which was very reasonable on the eye until you turned it over (and subsequently opened it up) where the definition of virtually brand new was stretching it to say the least. The only honest thing about the ad was that there had been a renumbering - someone had taken a biro to the model description on the box...

Hi Long time lurker/devourer of this thread (amongst others), particularly the photography. <grannies and eggs time> Don't know if you're aware but there is a freeware/open source graphic editor, with all the features you might want and more you'll never need, available at http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ In terms of cutting out the background noise without a backscene, a couple of handily placed sheets of mountboard offer a movable canvas against which to photograph! </grannies and eggs time>

It would be an improvement on the last bus I rode on...

I don't think they do. I have a cut off point for everything I buy from ebay - usually around 50-70% of the cheapest shop price I am aware of for "new" and it amazes me when I "lose" something and its gone for well over RRP let alone actual "in the shop" price. Fools and money is one thing, I just wish they'd leave me to snap up some real-world-value kit ;-)

I dunno, it's kinda cute in a flash gordon kinda way
