  1. Yes £65 at the retailler, but its not clear if i will need to use the legacy dongle to write the files to the decoder which adds extra costs. Im a big fan of the TTS decoders, especially the class 20 and 08 which i think are some of the best theyve done. Hopefully when there available some youtube videos will show up telling us exactly what the process is.
  2. Just noticed sound fitted versions of the Scotsman an Easterner sets have appeared on hornbys website
  3. The class 20 is an obvious omission from previous files, especially as its in a set this year. Are the sound files the same aa were used on TTS decoders or are they new. They didnt really say in the video. I might not be understanding correctly, but if i buy the 73 or the 08 with the new sound prefitted - will it run out of the box on my Prodigy system? Or will i need the legacy dongle? I cant see guagemaster honouring any warranty on my controller ( if i needed to use it in the future ) if its had a 3rd party device plugged into it. Seems like a good idea for folks going DCC for first time but for existing dcc users it seems a faff if youve got to use an app to do everything. In my head in thinking ok so ive got a blank decoder and installed it in a loco. Wheres the loco getting power from to download the files to the decoder? At £70 RRP for the decoder its not much more for a loksound or zimo decoder. The beauty of TTS when it first came out was the cost - it was a lot cheaper than the relevant zimo or loksound chip.
  4. So have i got to use the HM7000 control unit? Say i want to buy a sound decoder to fit into an existing loco - its not a case of installing it and away you go as its blank. So i need there unit to write the files to the decoder?
  5. Some war programme on yesterday HD?
  6. Yes the recent black release. Also got one in the yellow Hornby 08
  7. I always use the guagemaster dcc92 in these as its a smallish decoder and it fits nicely in the front by the socket. Only a short wire so dosent take much space at all.
  8. I recieved 2 packs of the drax wagons for xmas. As i model br blue / green changover ive not really got a suitable loco. Im guessing ill be needing a Class 66 or maybe a Accurascale 92?
  9. Theres 2 versions of the 67 i think. The main range one is prtetty heavy with full lighting. The one i had was in sleeper livery with TTS sound. The railroad ones dont have the full lighting, not sure about the wieght. Ive seen at least 2 railroad versions in shops recently - a silver one and a red one in a train set
  10. I'll bear this in mind when we go yourksire in april. We normally visit Sewerby Hall in Bridlington so hopefully were not far away
  11. Is 73109 one of the newer ones? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FHVh4G-kk0
  12. i had a look on youtube and i didnt see anything.
  13. In stock at hottons and TMC
  14. So in the end i went with a take on a minories layout. Ive kept the 3 platforms and added some points to give a run around in platforms 1 and 2. Typical train size is likely to be a 2 or 3 Mk1 BG parcel coaches and couple of mk1s or mk1 suburbans - not sure which would be better. DMUs will also feature. Loco hauled trains will be hauled by class 20, 24, 25,, maybe a 37 and 47. Managed to fit in a siding for the station pilot - currently the orange 08. Also managed to fit a siding with a goods shed to introduce some goods traffic. Fiddle yard is 4 track. Total length of the layout inc fiddleyard is 9ft.
  15. Next 18 as well since there planning sound fitted TT 120 stuff
  16. My local shop had them on display today when i called in to collect my preorders
  17. Picked mine up today along with a farish 31. £186 for the 28 compared to £237 for the 31. Very pleased with the 28. Only run up and down a few lengths of flexi so far but seems ok. For £186 with sound its a steal. Do we know if its a zimo or an ESU decoder as the instructions dont say ( unless ive missed it )
  18. Previous website exclusives have ended up in model shops, for instance the TTS Scotrail 47 has been turning up in Tier 1 model shops Wont be long before they do the same with TT hopefully
  19. Cheers ive got one reserved at my local shop :)
  20. Im seeing reports on facebook that theres only pickups on the Bo end? That cant be right surely?.
  21. Probably looking at 2 coach trains with diesel on the front. Ive got Class 20, 24, 25, 08 37 and 47. Plus DMUs that can be used as well. Id like to maybe have a goods siding as well as i have a metcalfe goods shed to use
  22. How possible is it to do a minories in 9f inc fiddleyard ? 00 Gauge.
  23. The Bachmann ones a rebadged zimo, but at almost £40
  24. Not showing as in stock on the website unless theyve come in and gone straight out. Im still on the fence but if i couldve got one before i head to butlins on the 19th i might have had a dabble.
