  1. I asked my local retailler if he could order me a scotrail 47 and he said it wasnt on his ordering sheet. He did say there was a few other things but cant remember what it was he said
  2. Bellaphorn is at my local heratige line and ill deffo be interested in one of those
  3. I used to work at a petrol station. On the day end reports it had all sorts of info about how many litres had been dispensed from each pump and it gave a price for the fuel sold as well. It also knew when the price had increased or decreased so the report would say x amount of litres at old price and x amount at new price.
  4. I really like the BR crimson livery on these. Also got some of the hattons ones on my shopping list in the NCB blue
  5. Scotrail 47 is deffo on my list as is some of the 37s. Only issue was they were very light. Is that still the case?
  6. I may have missed it but apart from the new deltic are any other TTS decoders due for release this year? Was hoping for a rerun of the 08 and 20 decoders
  7. Ill probably get at least one of the 37s and 47s. Normally i go for BR Green or blue but i do like some of the modern liveries such as the colas and europhenix liveries. Scotrail 47 with TTS looks good as well. Deltic with sound seems interesting hopefully it will be decent. Green for me i think Shame they didnt do TTS with the network rail bubble car
  8. We were advising folks posting to the usa that there were massive delays.

    2021 hopes

They dont, but i guess the 58 could return in railroad guise. Looking at the ones theyve done most have been inside a railroad spec loco, eg, 37, 47, 20, 31, A1, A4, tornado Theyve done some in full fat models such as the 08. Im hoping for a rat in 2021 as they have a railroad 25 or 33 they could use

    2021 hopes

Im hoping they do some for TTS soundfiles. A railroad class 25 with a 25 TTS soundfile would be great as it could be used with 24 26 and 27 as well A railroad 121/122 with TTs would be great also as it could be used with a few other first gen dmus
  12. In the end i ended up returning it to the seller. It was obviously new as the cable and power plug were bagged and sealed. The instructions said it didnt need to be connected to the track for the light to come on - in fact they recommend not connecting the track to elimiate the possibilty of a short causing issues. I tried everyting to no avail sadly
  13. Tried another cable with no luck and tried wiggling it still no luck
  14. Just got a preowned powercab. It was new and unused and the bags were sealed. Im having problems getting it working. Ive installed it as per the manual, but i notice my panel is different to the one in the manual. The handset seems to start up ok and it goes to the normal screen but it wont let me press any buttons at all Its not connected to the track at this point so theres deffo no shorts or anything like that What am i missing? Do i have the wrong panel?
  15. None that theyve specified, but reading between the lines parcelforce stuff goes on the sea whereas RM goes airmail.
  16. Updates from work at the post office today... Tomorrow is the last day to post special deliveries that they are guaranteeing will be there on xmas eve. As of tomorrow prioriy is being given to special deliveries. 1st and 2nd class parcels are very low priority. Parcelforce have suspended all international services. We are not to accept anything going outside the UK via parcelforce.
  17. Rails have posted on facebook to say the new Hornby peckett is in stock R3640 Peckett W4 'Nicausse' Willans and Robinson 0-4-0 Tank Locomotive No.88 (OO Gauge) by Hornby - Rails of Sheffield
  18. We already do Amazon returns which accounts for a significant proportion of parcels taken over the counter
  19. They look great. Hope they suprise us with sound fitted options in the quarterly announcements
  20. You only get full tracking if you use special delivery. EDIT : Im on about services offred by post offices. Tracked 24 and 48 also obviously offer it. For signed for and standard parcels you will only see 2 sometimes 3 entries - accepted at post office, we have it and delivered ( or delivery attempted )
  21. I work for post office. Over the past month we have seen an increase of mail probably 10x what it normally would be at this time of year. We have 4 collections a day and sometimes the last collection isnt all taken as due to lack of room in the van. Special deliveries are sometimes taking 2 days to arrive. We have been told that anything posted 2nd class will not arrive in time for christmas and even first class isnt guaranteed to arrive and thats despite the last offical posting date has not yet passed. Our postman is telling us that In the stoke / wolverhampton area they have recruited over 30,000 temp staff, but they are still massivly struggling due to staff being off sick and isolationg becasue of covid. Added to the fact that the postmen are only operating the vans single manned whereas before they were dual manned. They have been told they can share a van - but only if they have all the windows open. Maybe a solution for summer but not winter id have thought. On a typical day at work on the counter i must get at least a dozen people asking where there parcels are. Its frustrating for me to have to try and explain the delays as some customers do blame the post office - after all its us they have given the parcel to. Some areas are now delivering sundays as well but i dont think its going to be enough
  22. Picked up my blue sound fitted version today. Runs nuce and sound ok but as im hard of hearing i may increase the volume. Only other thing i wondered is the domino headcode light seems a little dim
  23. I didnt realise the sound fitted ones were out yet. Luckily my local shops got one reserved for me
  24. So to answer my own question above : The loco on on its own runs thru the poins no issue - even the s bend of a crossover. Pulling wagons again isnt a problem. However pushing wagons results in buffer lock and the wagon being derailed. So ive settled on streamline pointwork which hasnt been an issue
