My NCB one arrived today. Cant bilieve how small it it - makes the 08 look huge To answer my own questions a few pages back : It runs fine thru my insulfrog pointwork, including double slips. Decoder fitting was easy with a guagemaster DCC93 decoder. Body came off fairly easily. Putting it back on was a little more challenging as theres some black detail parts that just prevent the body going back in. Was fine one theres were flexed out out of the way.

My Blue/Grey 121 arrived today from TMC along with the Bachmann decoder. When the postman handed me the box i thought it was empty it was really light. Unplacked it and fitted the chip. Body removal was fairly easy. Runs great despite it being a bit of a lightwieght. Much lighter than my Dapol version

I swear earlier on i saw an ad for a Hornby Only fools and horses vent van in british rail yellow. Looking to preorder it and its like its vanished. Was i dreaming lol

I agree, the brief clip they played actully sounded pretty similar to TTS. I know its not but its deffo no the W/G soundfile

Very tempted to pick one up at the sale price but can anyone confirm how well it runs over SL-90 double slips and insulfrogs in general?

Just as a quick update... Sent the unit off to gaugemaster just after new year, Spoke to them tonight and they have repaired the unit with a new resistor in the base unit and its due to be shipped back to me in the next few days. All at no cost to me despite being almost 6 months out of warranty. Very happy with the service

We still used to do that in the morning. On the way into work we had to drive via the closest 3 stations and report to HQ who would advise of any price changes required

Ive just managed to preorder a scotrail 47 on the Hornby site. It dosent show if you search for it but if you go in 2021 releases it does show up there and allow a preorder to be put in. So to answer my own question - the catologue lists the 08 decoder but not the 20
