  1. Well that probably confirms its a limited edition certificate. It hadn't crossed my mind about one being included. It doesn't explain the Bachmann Branchline reference though.
  2. This is the document and looking at it the number at the bottom suggests it may be a limited edition certificate unless of course everyone has one with 150 on it. No getting away from the Bachmann logo at the top though
  3. It was leaflet about the particular model which is why I was a little surprised.
  4. Mine arrived yesterday,it was from the final batch. The service from Kernow was exemplary. They have been fantastic sticking with this project. I notice that on the literature inside the box one of the leaflets had Bachmann Branchline on it. I wasn't aware that Bachmann were involved in this, or did they take over when the others failed ?
  5. Not that it matters too much after all this time, but where did it say that ?
  6. Yippee 12/06/10 is my order date so I can manage a wait of a few more days. To be fair Kernow have been fantastic through the whole process .
  7. Rails are having them in any day soon and they are also advertising the Hornby Terriers .
  8. Interestingly I can only find one or two references on here to Corgi. Is there any significance in the fact that Corgi and Oxford Diecast operate in the same market and Lyndon Davies has a vested interest in both? Is something going on there?.The other point in this scenario is that Lyndon was very much part of the Corgi operation in Swansea before it disappeared from the scene bought out by one of the (then) big toy conglomerates. I know he was not allowed to go back into the market for number of years but he kept some part of the operation here in South Wales and I presume some of the design work is still done here. Cue Corgi/Oxford merger perhaps?
  9. Well I watched volume 1 last evening. May make more observations(sorry) but to start with James May. He is what he is, amusing, sometimes cynical, realistic,an enthusiast and pretty intelligent. We could have had Clarkson(perish the thought). Its like travel shows, you don't get Michael Palin when you watch Portillo, they are different animals and you may or may not like either of them so you pays your money and takes your choice. Likewise with this we could have had an in depth BBC2 type investigation by that guy who used to be on Dragons Den but what would that have been like. The joke about blurring the young guys faces was a typical May joke, what you would expect from him but in reality I think it was bit more than that as it was a safeguarding issue too protect them. Then we come to Simon Kohler, I have been a critic of his lately because I was unsure that he was right for the role. Not always good to go back and there were some moments when I felt Engine Shed and the way it was going was being held back. I liked the drip feed of new product info. However he proved his passion in this episode, none more so when he discovered the tools(or lack of them).I honestly thought he was going to burst into tears. Interesting days ahead with Terriers and 66s and Rails and Hattons. There's a battle going on will it all cool down or will it explode.
  10. Notice the web site is offline again. Anyone heard anything ?
  11. Might be worth emailing or ringing A&H. I know they told me they needed my LH90 to send to Germany so that I could have the LH101 but they may be able to persuade Lenz to let them sell them. Its in both their interests I would think.
  12. I emailed A&H Models about the exchange scheme for the LH101 even though it wasn't on their website at the time. That was barely 2 weeks ago and they told me that they would need the LH90 which I was exchanging and that they would send it to Germany for exchange. They said it would be 4 weeks. Yesterday I had a call from them asking for my card details as they had stock from Germany and this morning it arrived. Cost £95 inc post and packing. Tested and working. Cannot speak highly enough about the service from A&H as this is the 2nd time I have used them and both times were brilliant.
  13. I'm disappointed now he's been cut off in his prime. I was looking forward to what he thinks is decent.
  14. How about you tell us/ show us the fantastic models you have bought in the last 10 years - go on I dare you and then the obviously more knowledgeable people on here can agree /disagree with you. Just for the record though mines a Peckett. Having spent my time in an area where they were used a lot they really are a delightful loco and pretty decent too.
  15. Forgot to say towing was a piece of cake with full rear visibility and I could put it up in about an hour and take it down in much less time.
  16. I had a Raclet for a number of years and it was 2nd hand ( bought in1992 ) and a good few years old when I bought it. I got rid of it 3 years ago. It served us well on a number of trips to France The footprint was much less than a caravan so storage space was not much although I took the canvas off for the winter as it was in the garage. When fully opened and set up it was massive for just the 4 of us(2 Adults 2 Boys) and could have slept more. It was brilliant and we had some of our best holidays in it. Never had a problem drying it .
  17. The Princess Elizabeth set With the 2 maroon coaches , an oval of track and the battery box that needed 2 large lamp batteries. Bought in John Hall tools 1955 I think.
  18. Don't think there is any commercial arrangement. The newsheet is just general info about the Model Railway market as a whole. Kernow are very strict about their images I know but I think the copyright statement at the end of the Hattons newsheet covers all that
  19. A company called KR Models have been advertising on Facebook and are intending to be at Warley I think. They have asked for expressions of interest and there will be something more official from 24th November. They have said they will be offering the opportunity to pay in instalments so not sure if that counts as crowdfunding. Not sure if they are the same.
  20. My view was that previous communication about products came from the development team. But that was post SK after he left. When LD took over he brought/had forced upon him one member of the old team. Things then went back to pre Engine Shed - pre development team and personally not for the better. Non communication is not LDs style just look at his Facebook sessions every quarter for Oxford. I suspect he would have been happy with Mr Iles etc dropping us tit bits every so often as it keeps the interest.
  21. Interesting change of venue and dates for 2019 . Makes it easier for me but hope the Swans aren't home.
  22. Yes December is the only time I have seen them. Not long to go then.
  23. There is some snow there today, but even more interesting is the structure that seems to have appeared. is it permanent I wonder. I know that for a considerable time they have been building something because the materials have been arriving on container trains usually late evening. Its been fascinating watching them unload, however I don't think that was to do with the structure thats now appeared. Anybody got any ideas ?
  24. The problem here surely is that the big boys can buy what they like because they have the clout and wait the 6 -8 weeks to apply whatever discount they like. People know this will happen so wait. That is unless they are the nut cases who wanted it yesterday !!!
