  1. Queried via messaging to KR models. This is the reply I got."The issue with the buffer beam was the length of the hand rail. If you ease the handrail into the holes in the top of the buffer beam, this will fix the issue. We've not sent out new buffer beams." Seems ok to me but haven't attempted it yet.
  2. Yes got mine today as well and all I had was a bogie. The label on the cellophane packet says "GT3 Bogie Boffer(Buffer) Beam Parts" but no Buffer beam. Am I and others missing something here ?
  3. There is an email today explaining what went wrong, extending the offer and promising refunded discount that customers didn't get plus the free book. If that happens brilliant. My dealings with him have been nothing but excellent and he was very helpful.
  4. The England cricket team have been monopolising that. I'll get my hat.
  5. I should have said in my original post that it was the perception that Oxford Diecast got rid of slow selling stock using this method. In the days when Corgi was made here in Swansea it was possible to buy a bundle of stuff from the factory if you knew someone working there. These were often slow sellers and sometimes seconds which were working. As Lyndon worked there then perhaps he got the idea and carried it on.
  6. This is an Oxford thing. They have for a number of years offered Mystery Bags of Oxford Diecast products at shows they attend.Looks like Lyndon has extended it to all the Hornby ranges except they are boxes not bags. Oxford however are now doing boxes as well.
  7. Better to use messaging if you are on Facebook, experience has proved you get a pretty prompt reply. It worked for me.
  8. Me too it must be where we live !!! Them Canadians don't like the Welsh .
  9. Had one as well , rather strange !
  10. Is anybody still waiting for their GT3 ?
  11. I've not commented before , i've just looked on in awe. That now is looking absolutely brilliant, a masterpiece of modelling.
  12. I have a CD of Dylan Thomas reading his own work " A Childs Christmas in Wales" thats a must on every Christmas Day as I lived for quite some time a few streets away from where it all would have happened and I remember the house where they sang the carol.
  13. The wired coupling you want seems to be item code X8448. newmodellersshop.co.uk do have them listed but not in stock. It may be worth an email to them to see if they are likely to have any more in. The Service sheet makes it look as if it wouldn't be too difficult to fix yourself. Just a thought .
  14. One day before the Bachmann Winter offering. LOL
  15. Ordered on Sunday PM and received order today Wednesday AM. Had nothing but superb service from ModelMaster whenever i've used them.
  16. It was on Facebook early today - Just saying.
  17. It didn't seem to be that bad an area but perhaps he had some bad experiences.
  18. Is it still open.I went there in the summer of 2000 and what amused me was that it was open but the door was locked and he had to size me up before he let me in. Bought a San Francisco Cablecar. You're right though a curious little shop.
  19. Theres going to be an awful lot of Class 66s' about. Just saying.
  20. Its either a Windows problem-I don't use Windows or my BT internet is up the creek-I don't use BT. Depends on my mood as to how nice I am to them LOL. TPS can do little about most of them because they are from overseas even if the number looks UK they can clone them apparently.
  21. According to my programme guide it seems to be a one off episode with no other parts advertised.
  22. They are still trading, down the road from me. Haven't had reason to call there lately. Would have thought not now having a website would hit their mail order business significantly.
