  1. because the DB and yeoman models in the pictures have valances with holes in for the buckeye release pull handle and it was only the NP 59/2 that had buckeyes, hence i hope the models above don't come with the valance pictured. i.e hope they come with a solid valance.
  2. cheers guys. When you mean bearings do you mean the tip at the end of the axle or the hole on the bogie? as there isn't a bearing as such.
  3. Hi all I have recently updated 10x Lima Yeoman and ARC PTA tippler wagonsby changing the ribs on the ends and changing the poor bogies to Hornby Seacow ones (I know they are not 100% correct but about 90% there). I have also added stone loads and the weight of them is now about 160g each. The problem is that don't 'free wheel' much. For example giving them a slight push and the run for about 1m before stopping, whereas the Dapol HIA (which weights over 300g) runs for about 2m before stopping. Question - would adding grease to the axle ends / holes on the bogies help with this and what type of grease? I have general purpose 'runny' oil for oiling parts of my bike and chain, a thick 'grease' and also vaseline (or would anyone suggest trying all 3 on different wagons and see which is the best?) many thanks for any help Darryl
  4. Models looking absolutely fantastic. Hope the models above are not supplied with the valances and the 59/0 59/1 and DB 59/2's don't have buckeyes.
  5. also remember there are only 10 in one livery so not much of a market for them
  6. they are producing some fantastic models lately with the 73, 68 and now 59, plus the wagons they have and are producing. just placed an order for 5 of the JHA's to go with my 5x made JYA wagons. I don't suppose they mentioned if they are going to produce the other liveries of Hanson, AI, Mendip Rail, EWS, GBRf and revised ARC / Yeoman or any ARC / Hanson / NP JHA's? many thanks Darryl
  7. Hi Ben, that is the problem, the website only states once price for all models so it isn't clear which is fitted with a tail lamp (if any) Regards Darryl
  8. but that is for the Revolution DB MWA's & Tarmac JNA's not the Kernow GBRf & MRL JNA's
  9. I don't understand why these are £10 more than the Db MWA's and Tarmac / Plain JNA's, as at £50 a wagon, this is double the price of the Dapol IOA. I am after some MRL JNA's to suuplement my order of Dapol JHA's but I cant justify £50 Regards Darryl
  10. can't find a link on the webiste to the painted samples or where I can order them?
  11. exactly. Only wagons so far: Lima ARC/Yeoman PGA's Lima / Hornby Arc/Yeoman Tipplers the future Dapol Yeoman JHA plenty of box and hopper wagons to make shame no one has ever made anything to do behind the NP59. Hence why i have made 9x NP JMA's from FLHH HHA's.
  12. Has anyone contacted Bachmann with a picture of the new release storage vans along side the original released BG's and GUV's to show how the colours don't match?
  13. no problem. i thought i had said NP 59/2 in the original comment so my mistake.
  14. they are white on np59/2
  15. same reason why they are doing the NP 59/2 with the welsh name when 50% had a yorkshire name. i'm just going to renumber and rename.
  16. Afternoon all, a quick question. Is there a conversion kit available in OO to convert the Bachmann RMC JGA into the other styles of RMC JGA's (like there is in N gauage)? many thanks Darryl
  17. cheers, i have commented also on the Dapol digest forum on 1st july regarding some of the points i raised but with the latest image releases they still have not rectified the points. or is best to send a message direct to them on the forum and not post on a feed?
  18. Dapol incase they look on the forum
  19. I have just seen the painted examples in Rail Express no.270 and the 59s look great. however please take note of what members of the Dapol digest forum and on here say as the last few models of locos and wagons have been released with inaccuracies (i.e HIA wagon with a white end when it is silver / aluminium). It maybe that the details are missing but i have noticed the following: 1) the ends steps are still missing (as i pointed out on 1st july on the Dapol digest forum) 2) the horizontal buckeye release bar is missing on the 59/2 3) on the 59/2 the side radiator bars should be black 4) white retaining straps missing on the side fire bottles 5) the nubers on the 59/2 look too large as there is more of a red surround of the numbers to the cast plates edge regards Darryl
