  1. Dear all I have a Bachmann RES MK1 and I am wanting to fit tail lights to both sides on one end which are on all the time. I have bought some micro LED's and I will be making a DCC layout, so I am just wondering how i would wire them up? would it be a case of just wiring them to some pick ups on the axles? many thanks darryl
  2. Hi all, sorey if this is in the wrong section of the forum. Does anyone know where I can get, or get someone to make, a single headlamp with LED, to repalce the black non working headlamp in the pic below. It is for my Hornby tts sound fitted A4 . Including the necessry resitors and wire etc to wire it to the decoder / or 8 pin plug? Many thanks Darryl
  3. Has there been any new pictures of the sample 59's with revised colour schemes and modifications?
  4. can the log carriers please be made DCC ready so a DCC 'smell' chip can be added for the pine smell as they pass :-D
  5. IIRC the 59s to date have had 12 liveries: 59/0: FY, FY Revised, MRL, FY/DB, AI & GBRf (6) 59/1: ARC, ARC Revised & Hanson (3) 59/2: NP, EWS & DBS (3) regards Darryl
  6. I know a guy who is 'highish' up in FL and knows people in other FOC's and I've asked him to ask whoever gets them if there is any change of renaming 59201 and putting it back into NP livery :-D
  7. Actually the 59/0's and /1's became Freightliners when they won the contact last november and they are currently leased by Mendip rail from FL.
  8. I don't think FL have put the 59's up for sale because they only just bought them from AI & Hanson.
  9. yes we know, but like the DB 66's and DB 67's they sold, it's believed that a deal has been done before they were put on sale, and that FL have purchased them
  10. I'm guessing that the handbrake wheel is just missing off the design images (only 2 of the 5 ARC inners have handbrake wheels) and that the text to go with the packs is slightly wrong (only some of the wagons say they have ladders on the ARC and Yeoman outer packs)? regards Darryl
  11. it may be just the wording and images because on the images they all look like they have ladders but the wording only has it on a few. and it's just the ARC inners image that is missing the handbrake wheels.
  12. I maybe wrong, but from looking t the 100s of pictures of the ARC & Yeoman examples, all the wagons have both handbrake wheels and ladders. regards Darryl
  13. Do you get a 10% discount on each additional pack or just on every second pack? As I would be interested in 1x pack of ARC outers, 1x ARC inners and 1x Yeoman inners. Regards Darryl
  14. I just finished converting Bachmann HHA's into National Power JMA's when Bachmann announce HKA's, then when I finish modifying Yeoman and ARC Lima PTA's...... well this :-D well done, they look great. I have put my lima ones on sale on ebay for funds for these :-)
  15. Hi all, does anyone know which company Dapol use for the sound models? as i have noticed you can preorder sound 59's on their website many thanks Darryl
  16. hopefully ARC / Hanson / National Power JHA's are released soon
  17. looking on retailers websites the pictures are of the revised livery and there is no difference in product description so I'm sure sure which livery will be going on sale.
  18. Morning all, has anyone renumbered the Dapol pca wagons? what is the best method to remove the number and tops panel? I have used the usual t-cut on a cocktail stick / cutton bud but it taked for hours and also removed the paint layer. many thanks Darryl
  19. Afternoon, I'm after two lima/Hornby bells for the class 59. Many thanks Darryl
  20. are the Dapol wagons not plastic pin point bearings, as the HIA's are over 300grams
  21. I would just like to say thanks to all for the replies. I tried the pencil but it didn't work as nothing came off the pencil (maybe too hard graphite). I bought and used grpahite powder and this has done the trick. last night I used my Bachmann 66779 and it pulled 10x tarmac JGA's, 10x PTA's & 13x PGA's which is a total of about 3.75 kg. many thanks again Darryl
  22. thanks for the clarification about the door handles being the correct way round. regarding the solebar, can someone please pinpoint the problem with the bottom of the door as I can't see it (confused) many thanks Darryl
  23. 1) when you guys are on aboue the solebar strip are you refering to the orange cant line at the top of the loco 2) also the door handles are the wrong way round! in the picture they are on the left of the door but on the model they are on the right!
