  1. Charlie, is this the same sound file that you sell on your website? regards darryl
  2. I maybe wrong, but i don't think FL have hauled any Tarmac HOAs, and I can't remember seeing any pictures of DB 60 on the Mendip ones. but at the end of the day it's your layout :-)
  3. my bank card is waiting for the order books to open. will suplement my Revolution MRL JNA's, modified s-kits MRL JNAS, s-kits JYAs and Dapol FY JHA's. Just need someone to make the MRL IIA's/HOA's.
  4. can these be used to make the plastic bearing holes larger to allow brass bearings to be fitted?
  5. Hi all. I have made autocoupler release pull bar for various wagons including JMA, JYA/PHA & JNAs from wire. I would like them for my HTA's but I have nearly 30 of them and don't fancy bending and shping wire for 60 of them. I'm sure I have seen a plastic one on ebay but for the hell of me i can't find it anymore. Does anyone know if anyone sells or makes them (doesn't have to be HTA specific and not the one in the class 66/67 detail pack) many thanks darryl
  6. the ones I saw where on their own, and the class 66/67 one isn't the correct one for the HTA. regards Darryl

  8. The taller box wagons are PHA's (still in use but now coded JYA's), which are available as a kit by S-kits. Like Eric has said, the smaller ones are the JUA/PTA ex tippler wagons which Accurascale are bringing out. The hoppers are JHA's which Dapol are bringing out.
  9. Hi Charlie, I wasn't having a go at the cost. It was at Pre Grouping Fan, as they were looking at the price of the sound file with a standard speaker and not the cost with the EM2 speaker. Off topic, do you know which speaker Dapol will be fitting into the 59 using your sound? many thanks darryl
  10. Aye i know mate. I was backing you up because i reas it as Pre Grouping Fan was saying that you were wrong.
  11. Not the ARC/Yeoman ones. they were regulary shunted around and other wagons added / removed, such as PHAs.
  12. I did think of the yellow end, then thought it may have had the new light clusters fitted so it doesn't need a yellow end. that is strange regarding the straight air brake.
  13. A quick question, I notice that there is no 'leg' on the couplers, unlike Kadee's, so just wondering how they are opened? many thanks Darryl
  14. I'm pretty sure it has had all works for UK use carried out at Longport over the past year. GBRf drivers will sign it because they use 66747-66751 which are ex euro spec.
  15. we are going off topic. but the 73's had not moved in ages and were sent with the 66 for a run out
  16. cheers, my comment was just quick typing, hence why mentioning HGK again. I don't think I've ever seen the Lima HGK 66. I've just googled it for images and found nothing. Shame not a Captrain, Crossrail, HGK OO scale class 66 available now, especially since I've seen a couple in the UK when they came over for a bit for maintenance
  17. cheers guys, I was meaning if anyone did euro 66s such as Captrain, HGK etc in OO. Are the Heljan 66s HO?
  18. cheers for that 66001 is in the uk and 66243 is in france. does anyone produce any of the euro 66s in OO?
  19. Just wondering which ex uk 66's ESU produce?
  20. I would like to order a 66/7 in Royal Scotsman, but will wait until they / if they sort the lighting problem out.
  21. Hopefully the colours on both the 59/1 and 59/2, plus the size of the plates on the 59/2 will be rectified. also hoping for the 59/0 in AI livery. 59003 in GBRf would need another mould making, unless they can do the addition of the top cab lights afterwards?
  22. yeah they have kept their original numbers. If you see anymore and an get some side on shots of the text/labels on the side if would be really appreciated
  23. The next stage was to put the sections back together. Firstly I glued the chassis back together and I used the parts of the cut off ends of the hopper doors to aid with strength. At the same time I cut some spare plastic that I had (used an old store card) to fit the width between the two hopper dividers and the width of the vertical hopper bay seperator (you will see what I mean in th pictures below). While the glue was setting I glued the hopper sides together, after making sure they fit the chassis. After the glue on the chassis had set I then worked on finishing the new vertical hopper bay seperator. I cut off 8mm from the bottom of the seperator and used part of it to fill in the gap on top of the flat piece of plastic that I had glued onto the chassis. IIRC I think the strips were about 30mm x 8mm but they depend on how well the cutting and glueing has gone. I then glued the vertical hopper bay seperator into place. Once the glue had set I painted the parts black to see how they looked. The last part for this stage is to put the parts back together to see how they look. I'm pleased to say that I'm happy with the results! Next is painting and transfers. I have been told that the grey WH Davis use is RAL 7042 but on a model, this looks too dark so I'm going to gamble with a lighter shade of grey. Regarding transfers I'm going to see if Railtec will make them, otherwise it will be a case of buying various packs and finishing off with making my own. I haven't found any side on pictures yet of the wagons so I'm unsure what all the labels are. Enjoy.
  24. Since I heard that VTG had purchased some ex FLHH HHA coal wagons for conversion to aggregate wagons, I have been waiting to see the released wagons so I could have a go. Thankfully, via a friend, I was able to get the drwings showing the dimensions of the cut 'n' shut wagons. Firsly I took the HHA apart and stripped the paint off the body sides The next stage was to print out the working drawing to scale to work out what I needed to do next. From the drawing I calculated that the wagon is 91mm from the end to the new centre. With this figure in hand i marked both sides of the wagon and the chassis with marks 91mm from each end and cut the middle section out. From the removed section I cut off the top of the hopper/section divider to make the new centre divider. I also cut away the ends of the central hoppers from the sections that I want to keep.
