  1. There is no need at all to do that. Being on a vast forum like this, you'll have a large number of members blindly take it as gospel and straight come up with their own conclusions blaming Dapol. The admin has already removed posts like that from this very topic. Does it really matter who does a Class 59? Both DJM and Dapol would have both done a detailed version. Really none will be more special than the other. Yet we've already had members show their displeasure towards Dapol for choosing to do the Class 59. If DJM wants to produced the most detailed models and if communication via a forum is ok with him them that's all well and good. Making statements like that is unnecessary. It was an issue when Hornby chose to do the Class 71 and GWR King. They were accused of duplicating when they've already had plans to do so. So why is everyone ok with DJM duplicating?
  2. Fully agree with the above post. And yes very un-professional. Something that I didn't expect from a brand like DJM (So it seems as if the professionalism has been over-hyped)
  3. Well on the other hand if people just take a few seconds to think, they can save so much time. Rather than worry unnecessarily, I am pretty sure if they have so much knowledge so as to point out each and every difference within the sub-classes they can easily deduce that the CAD represents many variations. It's not that hard to sit back and come to that conclusion.
  4. Are the grilles corrected (as highlighted by many, they looked wrong)?

  6. Wonder why my post was removed...cannot understand why a "thank you" post was removed. But anyway, I'll post again. Thanks No Decorum for posting the listings on RMweb.
  7. From the Dapol website: http://Dapol.co.uk/image/data/DSC_6757.jpg
  8. I must admit that I didn't concentrate either. I was however very interested to find out after reading Michael's (Oz) post. It took me a good 35 mins to actually look for everything. I'm rusty after all. Can't get the fingers to move without some lubricant. Not sure how this has anything to do with the current thread...But all I can say is that all manufacturers cannot be expected to stock every single spare part at any given time. And putting a manufacturer in your "bad books" just because they don't have a certain spare available isn't really going to help you get it sooner.
  9. The Adams Radial wasn't announced via "The Engine Shed" blog as far as I can tell. It was announced at Warley last year along with the Class 71 (and a couple of wagons IIRC). They've only featured in the blog as an update, not as an announcement. The un-rebuilt Merchant Navy was announced via the "News" section. Same goes with the GWR King. The Adams Radial, GWR King and those wagons announced at Warley were 2015 models. The Class 71 and SR un-rebuilt Merchant Navy are 2016 models. The following are the 2016 items announced via the blog:- GWR Collett coaches (15/5/2015) SR 58' Maunsell Rebuilt (ex-LSWR 48') coaches (15/6/2015) Peckett & Sons W4 0-4-0ST (2/10/2015) The following are the 2016 items announced via the news section/Warely:- Class 71 (22/11/2014) SR Un-rebuilt Merchant Navy (28/2/2015) Therefore we have 2 ranges of coaches and 3 locomotives already for 2016. That seems to be the approximate number of items Hornby usually announces each year i.e. 3 locos and 2 ranges of coaches. So all that is left for December is just wagons.

    Hornby P2

Had 2 of them for 2 years...Still work as expected and have had no issue at all. Still have them with me.
  11. Well I may be mixed up then...All I know is someone had them the wrong them.

R1183 "MASTER OF THE GLENS" train set now available. http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/master-of-the-glens-train-set.html
  13. Nope....From what I heard only one is inherited from Lima. The others are just old Hornby tooling. Lima had some short Mk3s
  14. I dislike the Graham Farish Mk3s also. Quite frankly I think they are rubbish also. As Woodenhead also said, it may be worth asking the folks at Revolution to look into the matter and see if they can commission it from Dapol. If that is not successful then I would personally look at getting etches made with the correct window arrangement. If that isn't an option then the last resort would be getting some 3D printed bodysides.
  15. Was referring to the Hornby CAD images...The wheels look surprisingly finer than other models. Unless it's just the angle.

Peter Spares has a lot of Hornby buffers available. I'm sure something will suit it
  17. Looks like the model has some finer wheels. Is it RP25?

    class 33

I've messaged Joel and informed him. Also added a few images as evidence. Joel told me it was painted by a club member just to have something on show and it's nothing to worry about. I must say it's an impressive repaint.

Don't worry Grahame, I can tell Joel if you want.

Ted, do you have decals to line the entire loco? (i.e. the white and black lining)
  21. Dave the models look wonderful. I wish you did a Class 86 or Class 87.....I'll surely pick up a J94 when I can. Nice yellow SPA also. Is that one of Hugh's models to come?
  22. What a beauty! Lovely little model....
  23. Any pics for those of us who don't even live in the UK?? I am keen on seeing the J94.
