  1. I disagree with that completely. Cannot for the life of me imagine why someone would have a problem with a way of announcing a model. Never knew there was a right and wrong way of making an announcement. I'll keep that in mind for when I start a RTR model train company.....
  2. My "Smokey Joe" and "Caledonian Railways" 0F Pugs run so smoothly and are very refined...I think you may be referring to the older models. The newer released from 2013 onwards are just superb refined runners.

    Hornby P2

Anyone got any pics of the recent release P2's?
  4. Those were 3D printed running samples and these look a bit like 1st EP running samples...
  5. Hey guys, Head on over to the Hornby Facebook page. A video of the coaches has been posted and so is a little clue! Happy frothing....... PS: Sorry I cannot provide a link at the moment.
  6. I wonder if a Class 57 will be done? Or how easy/difficult it would be to convert this into a Class 57?
  7. Nope...They aren't decorated. They are apparently fully assembled models with etches but still in the grey body shell.
  8. No need to be jealous. All they get from that is just seeing the sample a few days before everyone else. So nothing really to be jealous off. The images will be posted by Dapol in the same week that follows.

    Hornby D16/3

    Well if it's a smooth runner without a fly-wheel then I don't think there's a need for one.

    Hornby D16/3

Read somewhere about there being no fly-wheel. Well I am a bit lazy to actually look through the thread again, so just forgive me for passing info. There is a small flywheel that is part of the worm. Quoted from Hornby and images showing the small flywheel.
  11. Tried sketching...not quite done. A combo of digital and the original way......
  12. That looks beautiful! I for one love this livery and I hope Dapol do this in N gauge..... Loving the fact that many are going back to retro themed liveries. GWR trying this out, Qantas, Lufthansa, PIA, Air France. etc. having either one or two of their aircrafts appear in retro liveries. Pretty cool I must say.
  13. Thanks....I was just going to post this and then decided it's better to check!
  14. Having the undercoat applied will suit some of the liveries (Strathclyde PTE, ScotRail, Northern Metro, First and Abellio). These liveries have a more basic design and if the main coat of paint can be applied then decals can be applied by the customer. This however only works for simpler liveries. And not the more complex ones. So maybe if each of the liveries that I have listed crosses the 250 mark maybe it can be done. Cheers Rusty

Relax chaps...They're on a diet! Or they've been starved (the delay).

  19. Hornby doesn't have to really worry about things such as the rivals. Class 67's have carried the Chiltern livery before. They can still release a Chiltern Class 67, DVT and matching Mk3 stock.
  20. Why so...didn't get what you meant by that. PS: I am half asleep So excuse me
  21. When it comes to N gauge I think Dapol will either release the Chiltern version in N gauge and have matching Mk3 coaches. Maybe a bookset will be announced.
  22. Hi Karhedron, It is being released as a bookset. See the MREmag page. http://www.mremag.com/index.php/news/325-tings2015
  23. Well it's only obvious that for such information you look at the Hornby website - There's a red one named BARABEL and a black one belonging to WABTEC. Buy now because you'll never know what can happen.
