  1. That's a beauty!!! Can see a lot of holes in that body therefore lots of separately added detail. +1 for Dapol....
  2. Now this is something interesting and something that I'd love to have atleast on display if not then a preserved running sample... Anyone managed to get a picture of it?
  3. I was told that some body tooling samples are due soon (next week sometime). Silly me forgot to ask if they were OO or N gauge samples. So I look forward to seeing samples in the coming week or too.
  4. Isn't this already being discussed here? http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/102815-Heljan-o-gauge-61xx-large-prairie/ Unless the OP wanted to give a general update about Heljan items, which in that case the thread title could be altered.
  5. The answer lies in your post.....Cannot judge a model's colour in a room that is lit badly. Especially that shade of green too.
  6. True but that post did have a difference to it compared to the rest of the posts. That's why I made that statement. Not saying it's bad. Good criticism is always welcome. As I said with a model that has received so much of praise and good feedback and it's one of those models that has boosted a troubled manufacturers reputation, it does feel odd when you suddenly get a big post like that.
  7. Probably at post #691 if I got the number right. I was catching up on this topic and that post did stand out with the unusual level of negativity from a model that has otherwise received such excellent rating here.
  8. Well I could never have ever thought of hearing someone rant about a RailRoad model like that It's RailRoad.....
  9. Hey, Please try to avoid duplicating a topic. A lovely long topic on the Hornby Sentinel already exists. Would be lovely if you could just post there itself? http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/65710-Hornby-sentinel-at-last/
  10. Oh yea I forgot to mention the 50% deposit Silly me....
  11. @Mike Would it be too late to suggest that the TEAs be supplied with a transfer sheet containing numbers? For a single tanker provide atleast 3 sets of numbers and for a triple pack maybe 9 sets of numbers? @Alistair I'm in the same boat mate.... I however discovered both and I simply want to have them, but no idea if I can. I wonder if they'l ever be done again. I want 1 Pendolino rake and 2 triple packs of the TEAs. I might have to settle for a 5-car Pendolino. All the Penolino's that I want are 11-car units PS: I think the Pendolino is great value for money. £110 for a 5-car unit, £150 for a 9-car unit and £167.50 for an 11-car unit is excellent value.
  12. There are many reasons.... 1) Mr.XYZ couldn't have been aware that Revolution Trains was doing a Pendolino. He could have heard about it only yesterday and also heard about the TEA at the same time. 2) Mr.XYZ could be a N gauge modeler who has a vast layout and a layout that is still in the process of having rolling stock added. From January till now he could have still been purchasing rolling stock for his layout of which the Pendolino isn't one of them. And maybe he has realized that now he'd just like to have one. 3) Mr.XYZ could have had other financial aspects to look into since January and only now he has been able to have some free time to get some modelling done or to get back into the hobby. 4) Mr.XYZ could have been a new comer to the hobby and 2 modern era items from a well known manufacturer like Rapido are certainly a way to start apart from having a starter set.

I think the image on the Olivia's Trains website shows metal buffers. I'm not too sure about it. But it does look a bit different. Hornby RailRoad P2 http://www.oliviastrains.com/wp-content/files_mf/1440519976R3171_2001_1.JPG If you look at the buffer shanks it does seem to reflect like something metallic. But again not too sure. Hornby P2 http://www.oliviastrains.com/wp-content/files_mf/14111323392001_FULL.JPG Can very much see the plastic buffers here.
  14. Here is an image of the pre-production version of Bachmann's OO9 Skarloey and a few NG wagons from the range. https://www.facebook.com/182658255760/photos/ms.c.eJxlz7ENwDAMA8GNAsnWy~;H~_i8XpEhLqDq~_CGcmE7FqrYnVe~_RVUsAZr~_t8QAxdU~;KutWdKMul1Q2dZsbQhpiOmCSllT1uj2Y6jo9vdUdPuRt3kADrNZ~_Q~-~-.bps.a.10153551644800761.1073741839.182658255760/10153551647760761/?type=1&theater
