  1. That's exactly the same scenario I had when fitting the Bulgarian Class 75 onto a Bemo G4/4 chassis, those lugs are the same, I'm assuming the lugs were to hold the body on? What are you going to use instead?
  2. That could be how they've set up the satnav, I remember in the very early days of satnavs wanting to get to out house the other side of Brugge, off we went, straight through the centre of Brugge! To be fair it did a very good job and we got to the house with no issues, only afterwards did i find i had it set to "shortest route" rather than "quickest"! Even maps are "new" technology, accurate maps haven't been around all that long in the grand scheme of things! I don't mind map reading but if I had a choice I'd choose a decent satnav for ease of use. But as I said my youngest daughter and wife just can't read maps, like BB's other half, so what are they supposed to do?!
  3. Perhaps we should go back to horses as well and get rid of these new fangled cars... No harm in using new technology which is especially useful if you are no good at map reading - some people are, you know.
  4. You can still use the satnav without traffic updates, you have that option, it's simply an extra, same as the speed upgrade, and can be added or taken away.
  5. They clip on and off, there's photos somewhere on this thread but hidden amongst other discussions.
  6. Is it any different to the stuff on my Octavia where you get things like traffic updates for 12m and then have to pay to renew, though? You'd have to pay for a chip upgrade from an outside supplier, that's not really any different. I really don't see any difference. There's lots of other stuff where the manufacturers do the same thing!
  7. He seems to leave it really late before making any changes, thus not giving the new players enough time to settle and try new things, should have brought Foden on as well.
  8. Just the right size, actually!! 😉
  9. I doubt there'll be anything new to what was at Gaydon and what was said on the YouTube video. They may have a day for the arrival of the Easterner and other stock but that'll be about it. No point asking the reps, though, just SK if I can find him before opening on Sunday unless someone beats me to it today!
  10. Got more points certainly, but second in the Constructors and second in the Drivers is about as good as they could have got?
  11. Hopefully you can now develop a team to challenge for the top without the prima donna... I still feel all the money United have paid him could have been better spent, but at least we saw the true Ronaldo at the end, and it wasn't a pretty sight. Thank goodness we didn't get him.
  12. They said the Easterner would be coming early next year, as nothing has changed there's no need to say any more, so hardly swept under the carpet. As for how the Covid situation is going to affect things, now that IS pure speculation, though the comment will start the rumour mill working overtime I've no doubt, another twenty pages of fluff guaranteed! 🙄
  13. Yawn... No doubt my set will come at some point, I was told hopefully early next year (Easterner), no worries, I'll wait... What a lot of fluff...
  14. This might have been suggested before but I can't see anything obvious but has anyone thought of using the Halling H0m bogies which are i assume 12mm gauge? https://shop.ferro-train.com/HallingShop/product/home/antriebstechnik/drehgestelle?pageSize=50
  15. I'm not a perfectionist so it doesn't worry me... It's passed and good for another year, that's all that matters... As for the Rover 216 sitting on the drive, that's a work in progress...
  16. I think I can live with that, if anything it's rather funny and won't affect value once they've looked at the reason.
  17. I think it was more embarrassing on their part, I was just relieved it passed!
  18. Well that must be just about the shortest MOT fail! Went to collect Hamish the Honda, they'd just printed off the fail certificate, failed on "windscreen washer not working Front", strange, as I'd used them on the way down to the test centre. Turns out they couldn't find out how to work them (pull the windscreen wiper stalk towards you!), worked first time, had to go back in to produce a pass certificate! Youngsters, eh!
  19. Corrected for you, as certain drivers will tell you! ;)
  20. Not got mine to hand but you normally slip it in from the side or top, you don't "open" it from what I remember!
  21. Not sure if it's meant that way, but the Peco track is aimed just as much if not more at the Continental market and bullhead is very rare over there! It's not about the rail height, though, the code "55" is sunk into the sleepers so, looking at that earlier photo, the top of the rail sits slightly lower than the conventional code 80, is that what the adaptor track is for?
  22. I thought Tillig was code 83...
  23. Thought the strike was only on the Saturday?
