60095 isn't completely error free though, the three overhead line flashes on the single grille side are all printed too high. Should be beneath the orange band not on it. Its right on the two grille side

Given they've had the copper cabling robbed from them, unlikely.

The missing cabinet is the transformer and rectifier for the ETS. Looking at Flickr, its been absent for a few months.

The orange cantrail was moved before the sets entered passenger service, that on the model correctly goes above the destination display not below it as it portrays an in service set.

It was an ex Class 100 DTCL. Worsley Works lists etches for the sides and ends in 4mm.

IIRC, they were moved unfitted between two 66s as many of the transfers to the GWS centre are.

They were being used for filming in the GWS centre, delivered by road to the DB depot and then tripped over. Think most were from the Nene Valley and all gone back now.

First JHAs were repainted April 1998, same time as 59005.

I suspect they are identification plates for valves and taps on the underframe before stickers began to be used. They are clearly visible in photos eg http://www.flickr.com/photos/locohunter/50828806396 but none are close enough to be readable.

Indeed, the fans, motor and drive train are a separate module that connects to the main PCB.

Guy, there's space between the sideframes for conversion, brake shoes may need adjusting. Speakers as fitted are one sugar cube and one 28mm diameter round.

Yes, the red chevron stripe was the RTC variant of the yellow one applied to Civil Engineers' locos.

These are different wagons, originally used for Pedigree petfoord traffic from Melton Mowbray. DRS used some for a month-long milk trial but only one was loaded. Charterail

For those awaiting its arrival in the shops, this should now be happening as it was in my local Smiths this morning. As the Project Mercury section has gone down well, here's a photo that didn't make it in - 31519 passing Warrington in 1991 with a cable laying train. This features one of the Mk.1 staff and generator coaches along with five converted Bogie Bolster C. Three of these are in Mercury blue without safety canopies and two are in olive green with canopies.

Not anymore, they were replaced by three OBAs a few years ago, went for scrap IIRC.
