Carriage maybe 30% full. Sat at a table (reserved seat) with one reserved seat opposite, person comes in and sits directly opposite so that neither of us can now stretch our legs, seat adjacent empty. Puzzled look when I slide across to the next seat to ensure legroom. Never underestimate the stupidity of the travelling public.

The 22 month old twins were introduced to the Vulcan today... and loved it. The girl was waving away despite it sounding like it was ripping the sky apart and the boy simply followed it's every move. I was expecting a screaming fit.

Why is it that when you're sat a table seat on a train, if someone else appears they always sit directly opposite rather than diagonally, thereby ensuring neither of you can stretch your legs. Or is such logic a step too far for the great unwashed?
