  1. I shall be interested to see Muz's usual product roundup from a Southern perspective 😅 Oh well. Locomotion is kinda cool
  2. I hope they hang around for a little while, gotta renew my car insurance this month and I think my pre ordered accurascale banana vans are imminent 😭 someone save me a Malachite CC1 please
  3. Wild wish list item: LBSCR D1 with motor train carriages (far more likely to come from Rapido or Accurascale, I imagine) More realistic wish list item : a single release of a wartime black Terrier, I can't tell you how frustrating, after years of waiting, that duo pack was. Yes I could buy it and sell the other half on but hassle. What I predict? Probably some fancy express loco or BR standard something or other 😴
  4. I started out with the best intentions to do a realistic early-mid 1940s Sussex Southern scene but accidentally became an unapologetic Southern Railway / Wartime stock collector 😅 other company wagons are a case of 'if I have disposable income and nothing Southern to buy' 😜I will probably get a couple of these if any are still lurking around in stock in the new year
  5. I've been trying my best to follow the livery discussion on here and got thoroughly confused, so have we established if any are suitable for pre 1947? 😅
  6. From what I can gather, Ellis Clark aren't yet doing one in wartime service (?) I presume the khaki one here is...? Kinda wish model companies would include dates next to their liveries for the less educated 😅
  7. Oooof if there's an in service WW2 example in a second batch I'll be tempted, I noticed the WD Green version says era 3 but also "preserved", is that a preserved loco in an original livery?
  8. I don't suppose any of the oracles on here know any date ranges for when those later 1xxx Southern versions wore those liveries? I'll likely get all 3 anyway, I'm just interested 😊
  9. My O1 will be working between Brighton and Portsmouth, I think out of my entire loco collection the only rtr locos I've actually seen photos of operating on that coastal line during grouping are E4s and H2s 😄 and I3s but I never bought the Works model, many a rule 1 applied. I use WW2 as an excuse for all sorts of Southern locos showing up on services, the lack of wartime photos plays into my favour 😜
  10. Route indicator disks are always a nice touch too 👌
  11. Oh sweet jesus there are 3 Southern version I want 😍
  12. Would be interested to know what CC1 was used for during WW2, presumably hauling war related goods about? Troop trains maybe? I expect there's a lack of photo evidence. The only info I can find online is that it was repainted, but I'm sure it did more than that during its wartime life 😅
  13. I didn't know the Boosters were a thing that existed but I see they're entirely appropriate for a 40s era Southern layout, my 2Bil shall have an electric friend 😅
  14. Just a query regarding the WD one, because I love me a WW2 related piece of rolling stock, it says as preserved, and gives the late grouping & early BR eras, does that mean the preserved example is replicating a WW2 era WD wagon? I'm never sure if things are WWI or WWII WD
  15. It's out of my era but for local interest reasons I'd have this plain black version -insert rule one-
  16. It's always a yes for a WW2 model 😁
  17. I picked up some 8 planks the other day, which I've put in a Rapido Wagons appreciationt train here, you guys are the best! Never stop!
  18. This arrived today! My first Accurascale product! One for my wartime collection =) I've had multiple apologetic emails from my chosen supplier, I hope they haven't had too much a hard time, I too work in retail and know full well what it's like to have someone yelling at you on the phone over an order that is totally out of your control! I however know nothing about Siphons but it looks pretty damn good! I have a made up "attending a bomb site" engineers train, this might be a good addition for any casualties needing immediate care
  19. Urgh why are people getting so arsey? I don't understand the total lack of patience... I paid for mine with my chosen supplier over a week ago and it has yet to be dispatched, presumably because they haven't received them yet (ambulance version) who cares? First world problems, aye
  20. I wasn't particularly interested but they do look really nice, I'm sure one could be on a Sussex excursion just pre war, or on a victory tour post war or something, I'll see if there are any lingering around when I have nothing left to purchase for the year 😅
  21. I just wanted to offer a message of support in response to the end of the newsletter, it's very obvious that there are certain insecure individuals behind screens all over the Internet with superiority complexes, I have an Uncle who has one, I got fed up and called out his behaviour one year and now he barely acknowledges my existence, it's a little pathetic, but also kind of amusing to me. Just keep doing what you're doing, your models are incredible!
  22. Do I need anymore SR liveried wagons? No. Will I therefor pass on these? Also no.
  23. All a bit modern again innit 😅 it's a good year to be a modeller / collector of locos with Class at the beginning of the name 😜
