Watching BBC News earlier - at the small banner at the top it said ‘Local time’ and then what the time was. Strange, as far as I know London doesn’t have a different time zone to the rest of the UK....
-
Just applied for my provisional driving license - won’t be long before I’m behind the wheel!
-
I see that the layout Alloa, Andy Y and newbryford have made BBC News:

Looks like everyone's made it through. We'll have fun over the next few days exploring everything!
-
One has to wonder who decides what music to play while they keep you on hold....
-
really felt the heat whilst out on safari in Senegal this afternoon, from the back of a vintage British Army Land Rover!
-
I'd like to wish everyone here a very merry Christmas; sending greetings from the sun, sea and sand of The Gambia.
-
28 hours and 5 radio interviews later, I am finally on the plane!
-
is very annoyed at whoever it was that flew the drones over Gatwick, meaning all flights have been suspended...
-
Quite a frantic birthday today, as we fly out from Gatwick to Gambia early tomorrow morning. Will definitely be Christmas with a difference!
-
has just participated in a very lively rendition of Sweet Caroline. Bom Bom Bom!
-
is held up on the concourse of Birmingham International along with the other Warley, Motorbike Show and Comic Con attendees....

The way it was handled wasn't very good, I was waiting on the concourse for nearly 30 minutes having been asked to get off an Arriva (sorry, Transport for Wales) Holyhead bound service as they didn't want passengers for beyond Wolverhampton to get left behind. It was clear from the way people were dressed who attended what NEC show!

Now that was an exciting finish to Hunted on channel 4...
-
wishes those cows would shut up - they've been at it since 6pm and they sound like they're just outside when they're actually half a mile away!
-
Just seen a Crosscountry HST with power doors - looks really odd without slam doors and sliding windows....
-
You’ve got to really hate being kept on hold....
-
doesn't particularly like it when people spit on the floors of trains, even if it is a local stopper...

Had a great day at the Great Dorset Steam Fair today. Saw plenty of steam and traction engines, as well as Standard class 73096. Beef and ale burger for lunch and came away with a cider flagon and some Snowdonia cheddar.
-
Full size, there was a traction engine for rails called Blue Circle, and three miniature locos (probably 7 and 1/4 gauge). But it wasn't just road steam engines; they've also got tractors, steam cars, lorries, horse and ploughs and lots more. You won't be disappointed by what's on offer in the food hall!
-
Off to the Great Dorset Steam Fair tomorrow, any other RMwebbers going?
-
Results day tomorrow, receiving them via email.

Just seen awhat looked like a Mk 1 sleeper heading north on the M40, anyone know where it might be heading to?
-
Ooh, love the new banner!

I wonder what watching the Fifteen Guinea Special climb through the Settle and Carlisle 50 years ago today would have been like.

Is it just me or does it never stop raining in Blaenau Ffestiniog?

And as he drove on, the rainclouds dragged down the sky after him, for, though he did not know it, Rob McKenna was a Rain God. All he knew was that his working days were miserable and he had a succession of lousy holidays. All the clouds knew was that they loved him and wanted to be near him, to cherish him, and to water him
