    The LNER Coach Association has an arrangement for discounted travel on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where they are based. I'm not sure what the discount is as I prefer to pay the normal fare anyway as they need the money. If I was lucky enough to be able to travel on preserved railways frequently rather than once or twice a year perhaps I would take more notice of a discount

    How does it work with NRM owned locomotives? They do not allow manufacturers to make those specific ones without their permission. Other members of the same class yes, but not Green Arrow, D6700 etc.

    It would seem that the name will be aimed at the Commonwealth Games being held here this year. Not sure what they would rename TV to but I guess they could always borrow one of the B1s and call it Daley Thompson?

    I'm only aware of individual ones that were placed beneath the user's seat/feet rather than compartment width ones like you have pictured. However, as you suspect, it may be that due to the colder weather, coaches destined for Finland may have had something more effective fitted either when built or retrofitted on site.

    I see in the railway news that the real D6700 is now on loan to the Heavy Traction Group at the GCR so it can run again. It's good to see a fresh loan agreement on a diesel NRM asset
