  1. Eh? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lima-Class-55007-Great-Eastern/114671282400?hash=item1ab2f0e8e0:g:mBMAAOSw1JhgH68z
  2. Seconded - fantastic resource. Probably about time I put another fiver over the amount I use it!
  3. We went on the Bluebell in 2019 and loved it. Having bullhead in the station areas and (relatively) easy to maintain flat bottomed elsewhere did not detract from the experience at all. The Bluebell is in good hands (although I still think their "steam only" was a good draw but that's a whole other can of worms!). Keep up the good work.
  4. Just means it's out of stock and they are lazy - instead of removing the listing they price it so high nobody will buy it (or if they are daft enough to, the seller has plenty of budget to find some with!).
  5. Putting an alternator on Morris Minors was a common upgrade. As was arranging a swinging hammer type device on a pull cord aimed at the fuel pump when it would regularly fail!
  6. I have no problem with experts - sometimes you can learn a lot from them. Someone who thinks they know a lot about their given subject but actually don't (I include myself in this!( is NOT an expert. A word has appeared over the last few years which applies to many of these YouTube "stars". Influencer. What a horrible word, but then I suppose you could define an "influencer" in the same way that you would define how a sheepdog works.
  7. I have a parcel coming via DHL. 1 box. It went from Swindon to East Midlands then to Ipswich where it is now on hold due to weather. It needs to come down to Essex. Normally my DHL stuff goes to Heathrown then Gatwick (or vice versa!) then Basildon so no idea why it's gone to Ipswich this time. But it means as a result I don't get it on time. Very irritating.
  8. The N7 is under restoration at the EARM - I think they are hoping to have it done for it's 100th birthday (2024). It's been missed as been out of steam for a while now.
  9. Sorry no - but I have noticed that Squires have listed a few SEF kits on ebay.
  10. I know I've ordered Meld because it's my favourite but no idea on colour!
  11. SE Finecast is now owned by Squires - however from Wright Writes the NuCast venture is still with Dave.
  12. Having seen the photos I deeply regret paying for Meld up front. I second the fact that it looks like it could be O gauge.
  13. We love Bettys And the NYMR.
  14. Fingers crossed for minimal damage and disruption. Hope their neighbour has decent insurance.
  15. Inevitable sadly. Hopefully the range can be sold on but that is of course at the decision of the family (or other entity depending on legal ownership).
  16. Heritage railways sell beans don't they? Beans come in cans...
  17. Oh is it? Is he linked to RVP as it was they who posted the photo on Facebook? I don't subscribe to any magazines but intend to get a copy of this one, but not sure how.
  18. I suspect it would only be rolled out on special occasions. Too valuable for day to day use. Similar to the Quadarts at the NNR (although they have been in quite heavily use due to covid).
  19. Personally I hope not - I would prefer Accurascale or similar to take it (and the rest of the rake) on.
  20. The owning group is so quite possibly. It is apparently at the 1:1 collection at the Hornby plant at the moment next to Bittern.
  21. Removing the actual burner from the hose did produce a reasonable flame thrower
  22. The school I worked in in the 1990s still had gas lit fire exit signs. Can you guess the cause of the fire that we had?
