  1. The non multi fitted 860's like 86007 were fairly regular performers on the "Evening Cobblers". Here the driver of 86007 awaits the tip with 1B09 1815 Euston - Northampton on June 21st 1983 NR
  2. stopped over briefly in Winslow today. Fromthe main road little change since the 90s looking East but much change looking West. Still a river running along the track bed too it seems NR
  3. 90036 crosses Bridego Bridge nr Ledburn Jn with 1M16 2046 (27/8) Inverness - Euston under gin clear skies early on August 28th 2015. The "Skoda" is named Driver Jack Mills which is poignant here as this is the bridge where the "Great Train Robbery" of 8th August 1963 took place, with the mail bags unloaded here. Driver Jack Mills was coshed which ended his railway career but the national non railway media still tend to glamorise the villains even in 2020.. NR

  10. Whilst a few 08's can be seen in the London area it is unusual to see and hear these superb engines working. 08441 provides the deep, rumbling acoustics shunting Mk 4's at Bounds Green depot on June 12th 2018 NR

This portion will be attached to a portion from Horsham before returning to Ince n Elton. Taken on December 5th 1981
  13. Aye they crossed at Stoke on a dead from memory and its a long way round that underpass. So Jed and the rest of the legions after bailing off 20159 n 20045 at Etruria joined 20188 and 20227 on the 1422 Derby - Crewe...Happy days
  14. Excellent Spot its Jed the top man, later in the day he shouted at a few youngsters stupid enough to try getting off a shuttle at Crewe before the 08 shunter had released the stock. happy days NR

  17. 25312 passes the Reed Travel Group's car park in Dunstable with a host of classic cars but nothing to equate to the fine lines of the class 25 returning the small cements from Houghton Regis to Northfleet on December 17th 1981 NR

  23. 25173 to the annoyance of many sat spare on Bletchley HS on December 14th's 1986 Sunday morning Bletchley - Northampton drags. Many 31's worked but the story goes from a good source that the morning isolation overun and 25173 dragged 1S63 1245 Euston - Glasgow from Bletchley to Hanslope Jn . The 25 had moved as we returned to Leighton around 1400. This would have been the last local WCML class 25 passenger working too but as yet nobody knows for sure.... NR
  24. 20314 topping 20311 tailing with 2 translator vans whistle through Old Linslade returning to Leicester from Willesden after delivering a new 710 unit earlier. Taken this afternoon April 9th 2020 NR
  25. The "Mad Axeman's" superb image of 81001 arriving at Bletchley with 1B08 1745 Euston - Northampton on July 29th 1983. Within a few weeks this fine loco was no more after severe fire damage in the Upper Clyde valley....
