Thanks for your replies must be the Tile Hill loop that got looped traffic in the 80's and 90's. Did freight and parcel traffic also get looped at Tile Hill? model potential perhaps?? thanks again NR

A few of us were on the Euston - Kidder tour saturday and on passing Berkswell talk of the "Berkswell loop" started. I never did it but many of us have apparently mainly on 304/310 local services being routed out of the way of an Inter City. What services used it, When did it close, assume on down only. Any Berkswell loop memories to share? thanks NR

86101 been in the news of late here she is being dragged dead by 92038 on 1M11 2350 Glasgow/Edinburgh - Euston on March 3rd 2016. The 92 worked forward from Abington loop and is seen passing Old Linslade somewhat late! cheers nr

Apologies for Instamatic quality but a vintage Midland Main line scene with a class 127 dmu on a Bedford-St Pancras local. The hydraulic unit is at Chalton at the North end of the cutting that stretches to near Leagrave. Taken back on December 28th 1976. Not an ole mast in sight! cheers, NR

Sat July 3rd 1982 was a memorable day on the Southern WCML. St Pancras was closed for throat modernisation and all Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby services were diverted to Euston. Some were swapped for AC power at Nuneaton but we still got 11 different peaks that day. Heres 45104 storming North past Ledburn Jn with the 1700 Euston - Sheffield on 030782. An unforgettable day! A day late apologies. A grey Sunday chasing the Western Hauled Western requim railtour by car and then train. 1010 failed at Cardiff on the tour, to claims of "its a peak" 37179 growled North on the tour through the valleys!!, 1023 later replacing it.
