Well we know they don’t like being beaten to the punch - with Bachmann motorising models from the diecast range they bought in the form of the EFE tube stock, maybe we’ll be seeing some motorised Corgi trams?

Looks like the 5 car set has made it into the hands of at least one YouTube reviewer. The video is scheduled to go live this evening.

Just got a FedEx notification for my Collector’s Club version!
-
I knew there must’ve been a reason I was so determined to get a Narrow Gauge line added to my train set this week! Collector’s Club version duly ordered.
-
So I see the 2022 range is launched on or before January 10th. Is it too early to start frothing?

Hornby has stated in a reply on their Facebook page that the 5 and 7 car sets “should be arriving before Christmas”.

Regarding the MU projects; having produced the MK5s then perhaps a good working relationship with CAF would make their other UK products a good candidate? A Class 397 Nova 2 set to run with your Nova 3, a bevy of two car 195/6/7 units for smaller layouts, put a 331 under their new working pantographs? If we’re still wishlisting I would order at least a pair of 315s on Day 1!

Pedal harder! We’re two minutes late! -

I must admit, I let out an audible “oof” when the bridge came into play! -
I was hoping not to be reminded of the excitement I had seeing they were back in stock followed by the crushing disappointment at the price! Another run of these at a more reasonable price would be very appreciated!

Here we go!

Surely Rapido can provide a small peg in addition to a standard NEM coupling? I can’t see how Hornby could stop them if they decided to. And even if they can’t or are unwilling to make their Lion compatible with Hornby’s Rocket rolling stock I’m sure they’ll be a 3D printed solution along within a few weeks of release!

Hoping for a late 2022 release to ensure everything is on shelves throughout 2023 myself!
-
The banner advertising the launch over on rapidotrains.co.uk has OO in the corner. However I’m not sure if this is a new addition or not!

And here’s a YouTube link for anyone who wants to see a production example in action.

Gosh, that’s a beautiful machine. This last brief period of waiting might just be the hardest so far!
-
I received mine a few days ago from Model Railways Direct, who sadly seem to have sold out. But they are out there!

Looking forward to turning the air blue as I once again struggle through another disgustingly difficult spot-the-difference! -
Anyone else have their pre-orders for these coaches cancelled by Hattons? Just had an email informing me they were “unable to secure the stock to allocate to your pre-orderl, hopefully they haven’t fallen out with Hornby as well as Bachmann!

Mark 5, By Accurascale

A full rake of these are going to look fantastic! I’ll leave that to someone with a fatter wallet than I to prove, though. Looking forward to my TPE set arriving more than ever! -
So after treating myself at Christmas 2019 by ordering a set of flat pack baseboards I was looking forward to having a project for the occasional weekend off or evening free during what was shaping up to be a very busy 2020. In the end, a courier dropped off a pair of baseboards on the day Lockdown 1 was announced, and with nothing but time on my hands I dived right in. Inspired by a plan found in a Peco track plan book Birklands is a firm ‘Rule 1’ 5ft x 4ft layout built on a pair of baseboards to allow for storage under the bed when not is use. It features a station with passing loop, a small locomotive depot and several small sidings. Over the course of spring and summer I completed track laying, the wiring and electronics and constructed the station platform from the excellent Metcalfe kit. When restrictions began to ease and a return to normal life looked imminent I decided to let my fiancé have her kitchen table back and returned the layout to storage. Needless to say I called that wrong! Now with months of being stuck at home looming Birklands has been set up and dusted off, and a list of tasks to be completed written: - repair some decidedly dodgy wiring - ballasting - scenery - buildings and structures - dozens of things I’m sure I’ve forgotten While Current Events continue I’ll carry on plugging away, making mistakes and keeping RMWeb members updated!

One of the preserved examples made it into BR black a few years back, didn’t it? I’d be more than happy to apply a little bit of Rule 1 for a model of that!

Well, the review in January’s Hornby Magazine makes for very exciting reading and the GT3 seems to have impressed! I’m eagerly awaiting mine making its way into my hands.
