I just wanted to chime in and say that Peco could not have been more helpful on this front. One of the crank pins on my Prince came loose and pinged off into the ether. I emailed Peco that evening and the spare pins were in the post the next morning. They arrived half an hour ago. I’d grabbed some tweezers and a cup of tea and prepared for a fiddly job, but they come attached to a sprue, making it a simple matter of lining up the holes, pressing the pin home, and snapping off the sprue. Less than two minutes and Prince is happily running again.

Don’t go teasing me now! I hope these are a huge success for you, either way.

Is anyone having problems with DCC fitting their 9Fs? My Evening Star runs fine on DC, but shorts my controller out when run on DCC, with any decoder I’ve tried.

Bit of a leftfield announcement from Rapido’s North American branch: But it has got me wondering what metro units Rapido UK could offer us. Tyne & Wear Metrocars? DLR units? Supertram Class 399s? Start now and could we see model 2024 Stock hitting the shelves alongside the real things in 2025…?

Would the obvious item not simply be confirmation of the GER / LNER / BR tramcars? Maybe a second run of the J70s to go with them?

Mine could barely haul itself around my layout. Investigation revealed the trailing wheelset was stiff and kept sticking. But a few hours running in light engine seems to have loosened the moving parts up nicely, and it’s now performing fantastically. I’ve yet to try it with more than the three included wagons though.

And away we go!

I’m not counting on actually receiving it at that price but it’ll be the absolute bargain if the year if it pans out. Which year, who can say!

Haven’t Hornby had pretty consistent mid-year updates for a while now, though? Mostly reliveries if I remember correctly?

I’d order at least two! I wonder if some clever tooling could make it viable to do the other members of the Aventra family along side?

A real liberty to do this when the sets are apparently “imminent”!
