  1. Well, they have taken their time (three years and hmmmm eight 90s later) but they have finally got there ... the ninth 90 and first in a EWS/DBS/DBC era livery 90028 in DB Cargo Red LOL (it would have to be Bill, wouldnt it ? LOL @Squirrel Rail @amertonman Well, it does look great ... doesn't it ? And for those wanting a Schenker one, or a different running number, i imagine this will be reasonably adaptable for the following: DB Schenker 90018, 90029, 90036 and 90040 DB minus Schenker 90018, 90029, 90036 and 90040 DB Cargo (livery above) 90019 ''Multimodal'' and 90035 DB Cargo Glider livery ...''Christine'' Kat :-)
  2. 4M30 Backbone (90039) leading Malcolm (90024) through Stafford Station this morning 21st February 2022
  3. Yes, thats right, they drop off the 4M30 load .. and then head back up the line to Rugby, 4M25 passes by later on, and 4S47 ... they then depart in time to pick up their northbound load for the 4S49 service later on ...
  4. And all this on the back of my favourite two out on duty the week before
  5. Two more 90s joined the party, CB Hall (90035) paired up with DB Blue (90034) In the week that was, only one 66 ran on Malcolm ... :-)
  6. DB's own Climate Hero week last week saw the week start with 90's on 4M30 and 4S47 ... Freightliner's 90s came past shortly after on 4M53 ..
  7. I imagine my local model shop will have them in soon enough, so we may take Malcolm, Bill or one of the Team Red Skodas in for a sound comparison I'm not entertaining buying one till @Bachmann catch up with reality, there are more than Freightliner operating the Class 90 currently ... and opting to make the first three era-10/11 90s in their colours, to me, just doesnt make sense ... if it were the other way round, i would still think it was crackers to have done three DB liveried 90s, despite being chuffed about it ... Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  8. Sound fitted does make quite a bit of difference on them, doesnt it ? Does the panto rise and fall still make a noise on these newer ones ?
  9. Knitting lessons - Friday 11th February 2022 The beginning of the OLE at Johnson Street IEMD starts today. nBrass multi-track spans will shortly criss cross the main shed area, like the below: The terminating gantry mast is a PECO mast with the cantilever arms removed. The Ayr style gantry adaptation is similar to those seen in the below Youtube clip by fellow Youtuber Smokie Joe: See between 0.14 and 0.29 ... It has always been the plan despite countless shots and video clips of the space by t5he three track shed that WCML Mk1? OLE would criss cross this space, the back story of the depot, to be located closer to Daventry than Crewe and to service DB's increasing use of electric traction on intermodal workings, primarily that of WH Malcolm. Whilst @amertonman was on the soldering, I was tackling the smoothing of the post solder work to the uprights and horizontals ... after getting through roughly two structures worth of components, we took a break for a dog walk and a bit of choochoo time The regional office now DB branded, later Multimodal got to see some of his class mates out on brief test runs
  10. I heard it was heading into DB red ... but there's that the new Malcolm livery on the horizon too
  11. Speaking of repaints, do you know whats happening with 90021 ? which has just gone off to be repainted this week just gone @chris37422 ?
  12. Every day is a school day then ... my apologies @adb968008
  13. 90036 was the first in DB Schenker ... 90029 followed .... then 90018 ... then 90040 ...
  14. Thank you @Squirrel Rail for your fine craftsmanship with Bumblebee1 .. (90026 in DB Cargo ex-Grand Central)
  15. 1st January 2022 Christmas 2021 falls later in the Calendar year and runs into early January 2022 in the form of the ex-Grand Central ''Bumblebee livery'' Bachmann Class 90 wonderfully replicated by @Squirrel Rail. Seen here at Johnson Street IEMD, having been out on test, with Jack (90036), having changed pool codes from WEAC to WEJS. It's a real shame that the DB90s allocated to Grand Central workings, 90026, 90029, 90020, 90039 and 90021 (in order of actual and/or planned painting into ''Bumblebee'' livery. 90026 was the first and was followed by 90029 and then 90020. 90039 was ready for painting at Toton when the news of the demise of the planned services, it was subsequently liveried into Backbone livery and 90021's overhaul pre-Bumblebee was postponed and has only just recently gained refurbished bogies ahead of a mooted 2022 return to traffic. Shortly after the cancellation of the Blackpool North to Euston Grand Central DB90 plans, the three painted examples were de-branded, as seen here moving the GC stock to Wembley. This livery was one I knew I needed to have some level of represenation at Johnson Street IEMD.
  16. 66185 is the Web Exclusive ... in ''I am a Climate Hero'' livery
  17. The green 66 i saw in the list of items wasnt the GBRf HS2 one, it was the DB Climate Hero one, but with the wrong number ...
  18. Having had a good look through the new releases, the only thing which works for me is the Silver Grey DB 67. The Green DB 66, numbered 66185 looks wrong to me, i thought the only 66 in Green was 66004, 66185 is in DB red ... named DP World London Gateway 66085 is a hybrid DB 66 as well, but its in DB red.
  19. Sooo ... according to the Class 90 facebook group, its the forthcoming colours for 90034.
  20. I dont know whether this is the right place for this question ... but what livery is this ? and which Class 90 wears it as I havent seen it ? I didn't see this in the 2022 releases ... and am curious about it ...
  21. Multimodal (90019) and Jack (90036) crawling ever so slowly through Stafford station yesterday lunchtime on Malcolm rail duties, headcode 4M25. Tuesday 11th January 2022
  22. 9th January 2022 The first visit to the layout in 2022 and a chance to discuss knitting with head of delivery @amertonman Enjoy the video !!!
  23. my 90s behave themselves for the most part Chris .. maybe message Bachmann via Youtube ?
