  2. I MADE A HOLE AND FILLED IT! Not much progress recently, all I've done over the last few days is fit the XpressNet adapter plate to the front of the layout Simon
  3. APPRENTICES ARRIVE The other figure I painted I wasn't sure it was going to look right, but came out OK, so I have fitted it on the layout... This is Kat, she is a DB Advanced Rail Engineering Apprentice at the site for on the job training. Simon
  4. What about "Loch Tyn" (inspired by PeterBB) or "Loch Taish" Simon
  5. I am just relying on the blade for power to the frog. Cheers Simon
  6. At least the number on the side of 66723 does match the loco number, unlike 37558 on the side of 37424! Simon
  7. I agree with Mudmagnet It's sounds interesting, I will be following this! Simon
  8. Thanks Neil. Here are a few pics of the previous details in place on the layout... and a before and after of the figure... Thanks for looking Simon
  9. You can wire the frog to a switch to improve reliability but you don't have to! On all three of my most recent layouts I have used live frog code 100 Peco points fresh out of the box - fitting them without alteration and just taking a little care when painting and ballasting the track. I have had no problems with operation using DCC sound fitted locos! LONDON ROAD (picture courtesy of Andy York/BRM) Cheers Simon
  10. Fantastic layout Simon, you have a superb eye for detail! Simon

  15. Cheers. The horn on the 66 is phenomenal, I'm sure the neighbours love it! - it's just like standing on the top of the bank at Toton and hearing it echo! They both sound better 'in person' as my phone isn't the best for movies! (or pictures! ) Simon
