  1. Looks like a Weaver tank drive. Note that if that is the newer CLW motor, it should have a skewed armature; that allows for smoother low-speed operation because of less cogging of the armature.
  2. I forgot to ask; what drive is in it?
  3. Not really wacky, but this sign was put up (in perfect shape) on Monday 21oct19 or Tuesday; Friday morning it looked like this: BTW, the road is nice and straight at this point.
  4. I never really had any problems with them; but I worked fore the public transit agency in Ft. Lauderdale and had dealings with a wide variety of folks. Plus, we had a way for dealing with unruly passengers:
  5. Stay warm: In front of where I used to live. I sometimes miss south Florida; especially in January and February!
  6. Ta parapáno óla akoúgontaigia mou.
  7. I would really like one of those, but only if it were 1/48 scale.
  8. At $210.00!!!!! a bottle?? No thank you.
  9. Put the whole circuit on a GFI breaker. Four of the circuits in my house are on them.
  10. A group that I belong to switched to an outfit called "groups.io"; the transition was seamless and seems to work quite well.
  11. Not in most of the US either. I have them in each (2) of mine; they are GFI sockets, though.
  12. Hmmm, that is only £9 per car, is that too much? Note that I know next to nothing about N scale.
  13. Later in the evening I had a similar thought. See, great minds think alike!!
  14. All that beautiful machine work and then the carp coil-winding! That is disgusting.
  15. The shaft just needs to be re-installed in the u-joint and then the copper strip put back under the steel(?) piece rising up from the truck. Should be good to go then. And maybe clean the commutator and re-seat the brushes.
  16. Shame on you!!!!! Anyway, thank you. I, too, have borrowed a lot of train photos from there, US freight cars mainly.
  17. Here is an even "wilder" card. I found out somewhat later after I took the photo that the 3751 was only out of the paint shop for a couple of days: Got your sunglasses on:
