  1. I use a 50/50 mix of PVA glue and water to do wagon loads with, leave it 24 hours and it works a treat.
  2. Number 560 has been delayed unitl September
  3. On that note, it was common to find a wagon out of region in the days of the big 4, (E.G LNER wagon in wales) but did the same happen with brake vans?
  4. I bought a DHM J94 in a flash sale, when I ran it light engine it was fine, albeit a bit loud. But, it wouldn't pull a train. I keep meaning to contact Rails and return it, I just haven't got round to it yet.
  5. Ahhh RMweb, the only place on the internet where you see people having an argument about GWR tank engines In a thread dedicated to the SECR/LBSCR in 1905...
  6. You could have something like the Bachmann E4 does, where the axle goes through a hole, and allows side to side and front to back movement.
  7. Ah OK, I had forgotten that, I knew there was a 6 in it somewhere.
  8. Don't the rules say it has to be a 6" cakebox?
  9. Looks great so far Nile. Do you plan to name 1 and 2 or are you going to leave them numbered?
  10. I have decided to go with my own trackplan, because I think it will best suit my layout, and will be the most enjoyable to operate. Thank you for the all the brilliant suggestions, I will consider them for future projects.
  11. A trackplan decision has been made. I've decided to go with my origional plan because I think it will be the most enjoyable to operate. Now, I need to look at ordering track and finish the baseboard.
  12. It's definatley a good idea, I may need to find/make space
  13. That sounds like a good idea, I don't know if I've got the space.

  15. Progress on the layout has currently stalled because I have no idea what trackplan I'll have, I've come up with differnt ideas but can't decide on one (there is a thread for trackplans for this layout here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/130228-trackplans-for-a-3ft-l-x-1ft-w-oo-gauge-shunting-layout/&do=findComment&comment=3229705) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  16. I've come up with this: I realised that the kickback siding wasn't a lot of use, so I came up with this: I used Microsoft paint for this, so they don't look the best but (hopefully) they look like trackplans.
  17. Harold the helicopter to our Percy you are slow, Your railway is out of date and not much you know, But Percy and his stone trucks did the trip in record time, Aaaaaaaaand we beat the helicopter on our own branch line!
  18. Before I started this thread, I posted a thread on trackplans, to see if anyone had any other ideas for trackplans. Recently, in that thread, someone came up with this: The trackplan will be changed to this, and I will use the trackplan I was going to use for something else.
  19. I like that! I think I'll change my trackplan and go with that.
