  1. Having followed the progress of Oak Road on RMweb, it was great to see the layout at the Worthing MRC 2018 Exhibition today - it's nice to see things in position knowing their backstory! The detail and depth of the tunnel (especially) looked perfect. My personal highlight however was the 'slight' misspelling of the prestigious Belmond brand on the Pullman...
  2. Most kind but only tongue-in-cheek; you'll have enough to be concentrating on!
  3. Looking forward to seeing Canute Road Quay this weekend at Worthing - will the H2 be making another guest appearance?
  4. Likewise! When applying for The Collector I unticked the option for the 0-4-0 Club locomotive. Not too long ago I received an email asking whether this was a mistake and whether it was in-fact required – I replied and said it wasn't, so to receive the “order is due for delivery” email yesterday was a surprise... I’ve not read all the threads discussing financial fitness, etc but yes, it’s instances like this which suggest it is a “mess”.
  5. I wondered this as well, but the due date remains December having looked online earlier. My only thought was it could be the Club locomotive (despite saying it wasn’t required)?
  6. Thank you, David; much appreciated. Little victories indeed, no matter what context. I did start a Topic, which can be seen here; it became redundant of course once I started speaking to Chris Nevard however it shows I had every intention to do the work myself!
  7. Yesterday I had my appointment at the Sleep Disorder Centre confirmed (my insomnia thought to be intertwined with the depression) - an overnight stay under observation will be interesting... Unfortunately the soonest follow-up appointment isn't until November, but having gone so long the body has adjusted; I'm sure another couple of months won't be an issue. Travelling over the summer with work has meant I’ve seen little of the 'layout', but did manage a shot I was pleased with a couple of days ago. Sat down for an hour or two last night to try again but struggled getting the lighting right and after a hundred or so tries I had to leave it alone for my sanity. Here's to a good weekend of modelling.
  8. Thanks for the recent updates, just bitten the bullet - SB003C with 'RETURN TO THREE BRIDGES' due local interest...
  9. Finding something that helps is a massive boost, no matter how big or small. It goes to show how different we all are and why it will always be so difficult to pinpoint a definitive solution to our battles – I’m not someone that enjoys discussing things therefore CBT, after five or six sessions, wasn’t very productive unfortunately. I was subsequently referred back to my GP and am currently on my fourth variation of medication; it’s a long process which often feels like you’re left clutching at straws. I’m fortunate that the operating and photographing of my micro layout offers a welcome relief of an evening!
  10. You're quite right, it's certainly not for everyone, but as discussed subsequently I guess it does have its merits in various forms... My post was really just aimed at the statement that Hornby was going "backwards in its social media skills" - this thread only started because of a simple Facebook post which whipped-up quite the frenzy!
  11. Quite possibly, however, compare their online presence to Bachmann Europe who have only a rudimentary website and no Instagram, Twitter, etc. Occasionally, something is better than nothing!
  12. Faultless service received from TrackShack this week; placed an order (three Bachmann Branchline wagons) midday Tuesday and was duly delivered early afternoon the following day. As ever they were very competitively priced – having compared costs at a recent show, TrackShack proved cheaper including P&P!
  13. Apologies if this has been seen and discussed previous: - https://twitter.com/locationsphotos/status/988837661581414400
  14. My first iPhone post, therefore apologies for any format issues... https://instagram.com/p/Bh6weOOFnmR/
  15. You're right! I was working on the red text at the bottom of this (sorry for the size, copied but can't resize)...
  16. Noticed today in the May'18 issue of Model Rail (Page 9) that delivery is expected in 2019, however the initial announcement suggested 4Q18.
  17. Wellbridge was indeed a lovely layout and probably my highlight (though I do have a soft spot for Arun Quay). The impressive forced perspective of Habbaniya, Iraq 1941 worth a mention too. Epsom and Epsom Town was for sale I noticed. There was indeed a good variation of traders, though found the prices of new RTR rolling stock (specifically) pretty hefty (which of course is no reflection on this specific show)! Fully appreciate the reasons behind this, but having price-checked a few items online prior it was a shame to come away empty-handed all the same - unfortunately I couldn't justify the difference, even accounting for postage. Simply Southern were in attendance (not shown on the website, I don't think) and advised that new Dark Star (of Partridge Green) stock should be arriving soon - a personal highlight due to local interest, especially as I've been unable to obtain any from the previous batch... http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/130864-dapolsimply-southern-oo-gauge-dark-star-six-wheeled-tanker-and-van/
  18. Tell me about it! I saved for two and am now lining up a third...
