Keith@KRmodels.co.uk is how I managed to contact them to arrange return of the mis delivered green model. I noticed on one of my order/payment confirmation emails that thd product was BR black but the SKU listed green which is clearly where the error occurred in my case. Nothing on exchange of the model with the damaged box. Am I entitled to get it exchanged even if the model itself isn't damaged?
-
I thought it was mentioned by either Keith or Michael that we were meant to be getting a set of full rods or the middle section to enable either model to be run as a 4-8-4 or 4-4-4-4? Anyway... Got home from work to be greeted by a cock up with the shipment company. The DCC ready black and DCC sound green I had ordered (got both with the intention of selling the one I didn't like). Turns out I've been sent 2 green ones. The sound model had taken a heavy slap to one corner and damaged got through to the clear sleeve inside. Looks like both will be going back for replacement and correction to what I ordered. Will contact krm.

My Fell has been delivered. Although I'm at work so won't be able to open it until I'm home..
-
I had that email and wondered what on earth I had ordered! Soon realised what it was having just had a second now which tallies up with being my Fell orders.
-
Looks like a physical model. Surprised at how good it looks, though whether it's accurate is another thing. The next thing will be quality and the loco to tender coupling which wasn't very robust on rocket. I can just see what looks like twisted wires so it looks like they might have learnt

Accurascale on tour
Pre Grouping fan replied to Patrick's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
The 12ft wheelbase chassis is suitable for at least the SR 15 and 20 Ton Engineers' wagons and the 20T 8 plank and at least 1 diagram of Conflat if my memory serves me correctly. A rather stripped back view of one of the former: -

Over on the chaldron thread there were hints of more steam era wagons. -
The Chaldrons, By Accurascale
Pre Grouping fan replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Received my Seaham Harbour pack from Kernow earlier today. Wagons are excellent, no issues with them. Packaging is also very nice and solid and well designed. These are my first item from Accurascale, won't be my last if more steam era stock is made! -
Even if 2 models share basic components or larger components (e.g. Steam locos sharing tender designs). It's more usual to tool up seperately for each loco/unit.

New tooling - BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 2MT 78xxx
Pre Grouping fan replied to Graham_Muz's topic in Hornby
One possible explanation is the factory that was originally going to be manufacturing the 2mt's closed down meaning a factory move and joining the back of the queue at the new factory. Would be nice for collector club members to be kept informed where the limited edition of 78022 is and not kept in the dark. -

That would be when it was added to the forum after the press briefing. Was hidden until actually announced until January. -
Looks like a panel to access the superheated header. Have to agree with some comments about plasticky looking parts, the wheels in one picture look like unpainted dark grey plastic. Seem to remember my GBL has similar grey bogies.
-
Received mine yesterday. Only had a brief look at it and only noticed a bit of excess glue on the smoke deflector brackets otherwise an excellent model. The tissue paper rather than usual plastic film over the model in the packaging did surprise me. Is this a recent Hornby thing or just for this model? Not purchased a new Hornby loco for a while so curious.
-
Seems Dapol are also making a L&B signal to go alongside the loco's and coaches. Might we also see wagons in future?
-
I see the IoW steam railway have announced a limited edition of W2 in SR lined Olive as No 110 will appear once restored.
-
I could be wrong but I'm sure one of the Hornby Engine shed blogs said it would be diecast.
-
The tender tooling will be new for the W1 even though it's the same type as a previous model. It will probably be a replica of the old tooling but specifically for use on the W1 I've seen previously that this is to account for if tooling moves between different factories. It means all the tooling for a model stays together.

The 2 planks are also leaving at the same time, confirmed by a reply to my comment on facebook. -
Dancehall brake from Bachmann - at last ( 2022 )
Pre Grouping fan replied to Wickham Green too's topic in Bachmann
I wonder if they've tooled up for the SR built Diag. 1560 15" deep solebar version? It is a shame they've used the BR axleboxes on all the models, it's correct for 11902 as preserved which they would have looked at to produce the model but obviously incorrect for anything else other than BR. Won't put me off buying 1 of these though. -
I just had the same email but it was for the GT3 so 🤷♂️. I had 2 saying that they'd received my order for the Fell earlier in the week and both were for the same order No. for the black model.

Bachmann Autumn 2022 Announcements inc. Farish headlines
Pre Grouping fan replied to AY Mod's topic in Bachmann
Good to see a Dancehall finally announced. Comparing to the Rapido 6 wheeler, that model looks better value but won't put me off replacing the cambrian model a teenage self built. -
Back earlier in this page where any posted all the artworks the text mentions due to their exposed design they won't be working.

Titfield Thunderbolt 70th Anniversary Range
Pre Grouping fan replied to rapidoandy's topic in Rapido Trains
Wonder if there might have been an error in the most recent news letter as it said the roof wouldn't be removable?
