  1. Anybody heard anything yet? I would have hoped if there was a serious problem with the shipment Oxford would have said.
  2. I believe a certain Mr. Ferrari was famous for building one less than he could sell of a model. Therefore if you can create a demand so that you sell out and don't have left over stock that is good for your balance sheet. Those who manage to obtain the model are happy because they have something that has more perceived value. If you don't get that model you have the option of making your interest known earlier so you don't miss out next time.
  3. I've just had an email from Hattons telling me that they have cancelled my pre-order for the Sunderland Gas Tank. Didn't expect to have a wagon cancelled.
  4. Think he may have lost his way! ;-)
  5. No news is good news! Unless you were wanting some!
  6. I was told last week it would be May/June, but it comes when it comes!
  7. My apples are 10p a pound when I don't have any! Actually, just received a pack of PTAs and they are fantastic and the packaging truly impressive! Really looking forward to seeing the Deltic, although my bank balance isn't :-(
  8. Join the club! I didn't order the Precedents or Caley 812. But do have a Deltic and J27 and no doubt the Hush Hush will join the party!
  9. Looking forward to seeing the loads, the wagons look great.
  10. Just got the email with the nice pictures telling me there is now a DCC Sound option. Another 120 quid. Quite interested, but would like to know where the sound comes from and hear it first.
  11. I have a "friend" in the Egyptian Government and I am told for a small consideration you can have your pick of the containers. But don't tell everyone!
  12. Very dangerous game to play with their finances. Things like the W1 and I would suggest the Rocket are one offs. Nobody really needs one on their layout. They are nice to have but there are a lot of nice things out there. 200 quid for something a year or more late and with the risk, from experience with the A2/2s of dodgy build quality and paint finish. I wouldn't want to be messing my customers around.
  13. She obviously knows he has spent more money on toy trains! Looks like it is the gardener's lucky day!
  14. First of mine arrived yesterday and very nice too! Do I use three link or stick a Kadee on?
  15. Thanks! I only got to use the ECML after the Selby Diversion, so never got to see it.
  16. Completely off the subject, but what location is this?
  17. Just placed my third order for loads, this time iron ore for PTAs. If it is anything like the coal they are fantastic. However, note to self. The shipping cost more than the load and DHL then stung me for a larger amount to bring them into Canada. At 50 quid delivered that is a bit much. Next time I'll order with the wagons.
  18. Thanks! That looks interesting. Texture on the bricks is amazing!
  19. Do you have an image from the rear, I'm interested to see how the chimney and fireplace fit. Thanks!
  20. I am building one at present. Going together quite nicely. the sides have spaced bricks so you have to put the right sides together. The steps are a work of art. They supply a sheet of tiles for the roof which go on a flat plastic part. Fitting the windows next, very nice but being resin quite fragile.
  21. Just had a request from TMC for funds. Chamossaire is on the way to Yorkshire.
