  1. Has there been an update as to when these might arrive?
  2. Nice to see the post on FB showing the chaldrons in production. Do you plan to have coal loads for them?
  3. I'm sure something could be arranged, are you acting as travel agent for a small compensation?
  4. I was hoping our mate, McC would take pity on me being in Canada and send for free! :-)
  5. No Roy not an issue but the original engine was a Napier petrol engine, it didn't work. The next was a Wolesley which was also petrol. In 1922 3170 was given a new petrol engine (possibly from a tank). So of the four engines used ( or six if you count the two vehicles) only the current one used in 3170 is a diesel. So unless you are running a preserved era layout it should be a petrol engine. I don't care if it is pressing one button or typing the Gettysburg Address on your NCE, the default should in my opinion be a petrol engine.
  6. I can see the end of March being fun with Deltic, NER Autocar and Rapido SECR wagons all arriving the same time. Bread and water is quite tasty!
  7. An RT would be nice! Might actually buy one of those.
  8. Is this about the time when you mention the coal loads? Did you find a way to overcome the cross bars? I'm sure my bank manager is keeping his fingers crossed!
  9. That is a nice sized box but will my postman place it in a mailbox with a door that is smaller than the box? Quite possibly! Done it before, but at that weight it will probably go through the floor anyway! Something to look forward to!
  10. I also accepted to price rise from Rails, but I make no assumptions. :-)
  11. Why not get it right first time? Or do you prefer a list of things to do when you pay three hundred quid for a model?
  12. It looks and sounds great but why have the diesel engine as the factory set option? 3171 never had a diesel engine, 3170 didn't have a diesel when it was in "teak". It is only the restored 3170 that is fitted with a diesel.
  13. Both as the will takes them, but the educated ones do know how to spell harbour!
  14. I'm feeling generous, I will take the sound and the DVD. :-)
  15. Well I thought that train I caught to Chingford smelt a bit like bananas!
  16. If you can shout all aboard in a Yorkshire or Geordie accent as well, I think we may be on to something!
  17. Although there may be no Wolseley petrol engines of the period, there are other petrol engines of the period and early Wolseley from other uses. It may be possible to use these and although they may not be 100% authentic, they may be close and there are probably few people left who can confirm how authentic they would be. For me that is close enough and I will consider the option when it arises. Happy Christmas!
  18. When I asked on FB they said they were about to leave China and there would be a Newsletter update soon. That was ten days ago.
