  1. Hattons have an image of the class 150 northern 2017 New livery, it mentions on the Bachmann site it's new tooling, on the image the unit has the toilet window, but I'm the real unit the toilet window is removed and played over, I wonder if they will alter the tooling to accomodate this and ig they will modify it so that it has the new lie profile chassis motor like the new class 158 has?,also at £212 HAttons price they have now tripled in price from when they were first released 10 years ago.
  2. Does the tooling have slides so that the version with 5 large windows on one side instead of 6 large windows for the disability compliant toilet be modelled?.
  3. It would be easier to do it as a 5 car train pack like Hornby did, with and without the black mask windscreen surround, you could sell the additional power car separately with its original pantograph or with its later Brecknell willis pantograph, all its intermediate coaches could also be sold separately, it had quite a few variations on its driving coach, full yellow end, black mask with the br logo as an outline, br logo fully painted black, apt logo as an outline, then infilled with red and a red line separating the yellow and the grey, even its power cars had no Br logo on one side and Intercity apt on the other side when it was first built. Doing it this way would avoid the need for a massive box that could hold 14 00 gauge coaches and it would help people to avoid the cost of buying a full 14 car unit in one go.
  4. I am looking to hire a new 3d designer to make some alterations to my 3d printed class 507-315 emu kit as the original designer is too busy working on designing parts for the new shape Ford Fiesta, and I will be waiting ages if I stay with them for the design work. I need someone who has a good knowledge of multiple units. Currently all bodysides are in 3 side sections for each coach, I have all the stl files and pdf drawings, I could do with these joined together so that each bodyside can be 3d printed as one full bodyside. Also I need someone who can design the pantograph coach roof and pantograph coach inner end ( panto side) from the existing roof and inner end stl files, I have only the pdf drawing file for the new inner end and pantograph coach roof. I also need some tabs adding to the inside of the roofs and ends to make it easier to attach the bodysides to the roofs and ends, and add small details that the original designer missed off. And finally someone who can design the floors bogies and underframe components at a later date and someone who can do etched nickel silver window frames for the kit. Please private message me on here if you can do this or recommend anyone who can do 3d design work or etching. Thanks Regards Andy
  5. Driving coach primed in grey alclad primer, almost ready for a coat of BR blue and grey.
  6. You can buy clear smoke tinted self adhesive vinyl a4 sheets on Ebay very cheaply, it comes in brown tint, dark grey tint and various other suitable shades, the good thing is you can remove it easily if you don't like it, also the Tamiya smoke is good too.
  7. You can buy clear smoke tinted self adhesive vinyl a4 sheets on Ebay very cheaply, it comes in brown tint, dark grey tint and other various suitable ones.
  8. Started the build of the 315 centre coach , but I don't like this new glue I bought, must stick to superglue in future.
  9. The pantograph coach sides are now available for the class 313, with the slim window removed next to the 2 medium windows . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263270439481
  10. I am about to start construction of the new class 507-315 driving coach that I sell on Ebay.
  11. I have decided to extend the Ebay sale prices for a week or two longer.
  12. The best way to power it is a new style Hornby motor, as used on the class 153/156.
  13. It as all polyurethane resin now, I have the parts cast in grey resin ( usually used on model aircraft cast resin parts), as it looks better than normal coloured resin, I know it does not stick to itself, the only thing that sticks it together properly is superglue, I use the Asda branded twin pack liquid superglue its only about a pound but is very good stuff, they also do a gel version that's £1.75 for a twin pack but its on offer for a pound sometimes. Only superglue.
  14. I wish to announce the following 00 gauge new emu kits are available on Ebay class 507,508,313,314,315, class 455/7 trailer coach. The parts are 3d designed from official br drawings and cast in grey resin, I have made them available as individual part's so that its easier than buying a full kit in one go and it helps me spread the cost of the 3d design and printing. The 3d masters are made out of high definition crystal acrylic which gives them a very good finish. Each full bodyside comes as 3 pieces which join with a tab behind the middle of the double door's, the cab end is a full cab end excluding the floor, each rear end is the same with the corridor connection. These parts are currently available on Ebay, I am having a one week sale. Driving coach bodyside left and right class 507-315. £13.99 normally £17.99 with all other parts discounted for one week. Driving coach roof for the above. Cab end and coach rears class 507-315. Trailer coach roof class 507,508,315,455/7. Trailer coach bodyside left or right (fits both sides) class 507,508,315,455/7. Pantograph coach bodyside left and right class 314,315. The class 313,314,315 pantograph coach roof and the side for the class 313 and modified rear end panto side has finished being designed, I am waiting on them 3d printing the masters for these. After these the etched window frames are being done, then finally the floors, bogies and underframe components.
  15. Nice to see a class 455 centre coach built from one of my newly launched class 507,508,313,314,315 emu kits in 00 scale, I also see you have built the class 442 from one of my cab ends, your emu fleet looks really nice, the refurbished 4-ceps look very impressive, its a shame some of the Rtr manufacturers don't do many emu's I am sure they would sell ok.
  16. Just now tried to pay the balance on 156-111 and the website isn't working properly.
  17. On the old Lima model for the green stripe north west regional railways livery they used a beige bodyside colour on the real units it was a silver grey colour.
  18. Hi Everyone, After many weeks of delays with the 3d designers, all the highly detailed bodysides for the class 507,508,313,314,315 emu are now for sale on Ebay, The driving coach roof for all versions, and centre trailer coach roof as used on the class 507,508,315,455 are also listed. The pantograph coach roof for the class 313,314,315 and the modified coach rear end (panto side) is in the final stages of 3d design and should only be a few weeks away. I have had the coach roofs done as one piece and each coach bodyside uses 3 modular pieces. I currently have each coach bodyside listed but the modular pieces will be available individually.
