  1. I am inclined to believe in the above ( LAND GRAB SECENARIO) DONT TOUCH IT AS WE ARE WORKING ON IT ! , you have Hornby that have a 1987 tooled class 142 that was about £27.50 rrp back then, a class 90 1988 tooled and the ex Lima class 156 that was tooled in 1987 I remember that was about £37.50 back then, they have sold old tooled models at ridiculous prices over recent years, so you have a new scenario. Realtrack are doing the 156 and class 142 probably at more than double the cost than at what Hornby last sold them for, but you are getting a highly detailed model with complex electronics (dcc and lighting ect). Realtrack was secretive about its forthcoming class 142, yet they already had its chassis from its previous class 143, now they are doing the 156 and if Bachmann who announced a totally new class 158 in about 2011 with nothing to show, then im sorry to be blunt Realtrack might be them to it. No point these days in having Railroad branded expensive models selling at ridiculous prices. No point in having a class 47 from Triang, Hornby, Lima, Heljan, Bachmann ect.
  2. Hi, Does anyone have a spare pack of Hurst models DKUB02 BT13 whitemetal Cast trailer bogie sideframes they are willing to sell ?, I have tied the Hurst website but they are out of stock.
  3. Hi, They will appear on this thread along with pics.
  4. Hi, Just a quick update on the new resin kit im doing, the roofs and bodysides for all variations will be released within the next few week's, I have had to wait for a design and production slot from the company that does all the 3d design and printing for the masters.
  5. The 3d design of the bodysides and roof's has started this week, the company who does this has design slot times I have to wait for as they have other customers who they are doing designs for, I already have a full driving coach bodyshell test piece. Everything has to be perfect with the final 3d design, once the masters are 3d printed it would come at a massive cost to me if something was slightly wrong with themas they are 3d printed in ultra high definition detail.
  6. Here is a pic of what it should look like once fully built up in its unpainted form, this is a render of the original as built class 313 with the large roof pods that were later removed, the roof pods will be a separate moulding from the main roof part.
  7. I am doing it part by part as its easier for people to buy rather than fork out for a full kit in one go, the parts comprise of a full cab front end, full rear end with roof and sides as one piece, a full roof, each coach bodyside sections in 2 pieces, so that all variations of the class 507/508- 313/314/315 can be done along with the trailer coach that was removed from the class 508 and inserted into the class 455. once all the full coach parts are done the window etches will be done. Finally the coach floors, underframe components and bogies will be done.
  8. I am the person who is developing the new resin kit for the class 507/508-313, 314, 315 emu kit, not to be confused with the Ayjay models resin kit. Here is a selection of pic's showing the cab front and coach rear. The roof's and sides are currently being 3d designed.
  9. The little see through lines where the Barbie swirl is on the window look great, just like the real thing.
  10. I agree that the snowplough looks to chunky and spoils the look of the model, its similar to the one on the Hornby class 153, the Bachmann class 150/2 snowplough is moulded much thinner and looks a lot better.
  11. I would like some Northern rail ones, Hornby never did the most common Northern rail version, they only did it as the Settle and Carlisle picture version, and the other was the white and lilac version with the angular upsweeps.
  12. For people who wish to tint windows, you can buy smoke tinted clear self adhesive vinyl sheets very cheaply on Ebay, you can get various shades including brown, light grey and dark black.
  13. Deposits have now started to be taken out of bank accounts.
  14. He has said previously in this post that all liveries will be done eventually.

  16. I would of thought you would have done the current Northern rail livery with all the brandings, Hornby never did this livery except for the settle and Carlisle picture livery.
  17. I ordered two class 156 models yesterday, paid the £50 deposit on each of them and the order said it was successful , but the £100 has not been taken yet, does it get taken out of your account soon, or does it only get taken when the model is ready to ship?.
  18. Are you do both roof versions the one that has 3 roof ribs and the one that has lots of them, and are you going to do a gmpte orange and brown livery ? For the class 142 that is.

  20. Good to know that its a one piece bodyshell , I was put off at first thinking it had a removable roof, I was thinking it would be too similar to the Lima / Hornby bodyshell . Hoping you will do these liveries eventually. Northern rail current livery but with brandings. Northwestern first Barbie livery, or with Northern branding. Northwest regional railways green stripe livery with either Regional railways branding, unbranded or with First Northwestern blue branding.
  21. On this East midlands train painted sample it looks to have a slight gap between the grey of the roof and the coloured bodyside paint, as though the roof can be removed like it does on the Dapol and Lima/Hornby class 156, is this a one piece bodyshell or does the roof come off ?, if it does have a removable roof I can see this being an issue if they do the North west regional railways green stripe version as the all yellow front extended further up compared to other class 156 liveries and you would see a line between the joint of the roof and cab front.
  22. I agree that the raised cab side window moulding looks to heavy and square, on the Lima/ Hornby 156 it is less heavy and has slightly rounded inner and outer corners, three more things don't look quite right, the seam on the cab roof between where the roof ribs finish and the cantrail looks too heavy, on the real thing and on the Lima/Hornby one it is hardly noticeable . The snowplough looks too thick, it looks like the one on the Hornby class 153, if you compare it to a Bachmann class 150 snowplough that is moulded in very thin plastic that looks more to scale and accurate looking, also on the Dapol and Lima/Hornby class 156 the inner ends have Horizontal grooves, but on the artwork I cant see these grooves I know this is only a 1st engineering prototype and things probably will be changed, and that it was laser scanned but these 4 things jump right out . The Lima class 156 body was and still is very good considering it was tooled 29 years ago, it was the box underframe most people had issues with.
  23. They could do with having the door warning lights moulded in transparent orange plastic rather than having them painted on.
  24. It mentions it has painted seating, on the Realtrack class 143/144 the seats were just one colour plastic mouldings eg red or blue, it would be good if these new seats had the colour of the seat material and the back and sides painted grey ect.
  25. Class 156 looks very good, hope you will be doing them in First northwestern Barbie livery and Northern rail too, its a shame Bachmann could not of done a low profile drive unit on its last attempt at getting rid of the full solid metal block in its class 150 and replacing it with one a quarter of the size. Hopefully when the class 142 gets done, they will do a class 155 and class 185 too.
