  1. I ordered a dcc and a dcc sound one, not been delivered yet though although fully paid up, I don't have a layout though, how does the dcc sound work without a dcc controller?
  2. On the model and the real train it has a hole between the headlights, im sure I have seen pics in the past with a needle like probe coming out of the hole ?.
  3. Sorry I have figured it out now, on Hornby its part of the black underframe, but on yours its part of the shell but in silver.
  4. On the driving coach underneath the 1st door (crew door I presume) it has a big piece painted silver on the livery sample with triangular sides part of the bodyshell, The Hornby model does not have that, can you please tell me why yours has and the Hornby model does not have it ?.
  5. Would love Rapido to do the APT-P as a follow on from the APT-E.
  6. Can we see the pics of the finished model ?
  7. Ordered 2 APT-E models one sound and one dcc only, will order the HST prototype and coaches when that is ready to order, what I really want now is for them to do the APT-P with additional coaches, that will really complement the other APT-E and HST prototype nicely.
  8. 9 deg of active tilt plus 3 deg of passive tilt, does that mean the real Apt-p could tilt upto 12 deg?, I always thought the Hornby Apt looked as though it wasn't tilting enough.
  9. I was thinking about buying an iwata custom micron-cm but at around £440 the price has been putting me off.
  10. What model of airbrush do you use to do your general re-sprays Lee ?
  11. APT-P to follow up from this one hopefully.
  12. Will the model have silver effect windows like the real thing, or clear or tinted windows ?
  13. They look great, but I think you should get rid of them solid windows, if you look at how good PH Designs 2mm class 323 looks ,and considering BigP is changing his windows on his networkers, I really think most people would prefer not to have the solid windows. You should do a class 334, that would go great with your class 380.
  14. This post is getting boring now with its licensing issues, lets see hit happen,
  15. I think if these were done in oo scale, they would be a very good seller considering all the liveries they have carried The Bratchell class 321 is £239.00, that's for the pre-printed sides version plus its £64.00 for wheels , couplings and bearings, another £64.00 if you buy the ready to motorize version, that built up by them, then you need to buy a motor also and pantograph plus seating from other suppliers plus lighting. So if it was done in oo scale , I don't think Bratchell Models would be selling many class 320, or class 321 kits.
  16. I am not implying anything other than DC kits are sharing a stand with him and DC kits did an awful looking class150/2 resin kit just before Bachmann brought its class 150/2 out, im not saying that DC kits had anything to do with this kit other than sharing a stand. I was putting across that with all the advances in 3d printing ect people nowadays expect much higher standards, I just think its a big joke expecting people to pay that kind of money for something that's been derived from the old Mtk kit from the 80,s.
  17. We have said this a few days ago, but its either on another post, or people are reading a different post, I think we are trying to stress that the model is basically just a modified MTK kit that's being cast in resin but with etched window frames, and for the kind of money he is asking for it I feel very few people will buy it, and it will backfire on him, for £260-£270 I would expect something that looks like the prototype not something that most people can tell is derived from the old MTK kit and then cast in resin. If he is not that bothered he could end up with loads of resin bodies that he would of paid fairly high prices to get casted and people wont buy the kit as it looks absolute rubbish. Anyone could do that by packing the Aluminium or etched brass mtk bodyshells with plasticard and then getting the master cast in resin. He should of got someone like yourself Pete who can at least design a model and get it 3d printed or cast in resin that looks like the real thing. Its like me saying I am bringing out a Class 321 emu kit cast in resin for £260 for a 4 car unit, then keeping people hanging on a year or two, then its unveiled it turns out to be derived from the old mtk kit, but more expensive than the Bratchell one that's injection moulded and slightly cheaper and missing some accurate underframe parts although the bratchell bodies are quite good, but then again when DC kits did a resin class 150/2 with etched brass window frames just before the Bachmann one came out anyone remember how awful that looked. I hope this abortion of a kit wont sell at all, then he will probably say to people emu kits don't sell.
  18. The Amsie one with vinyl sides added that was oo scale, it looked far superior to that heap of rubbish. And it had not even been finished with final details added.
  19. I personally think that not many of these (kits) priced at £260-£270, it clearly derived from the old MTK kit, its a shame the amsie one never got finished that one looked correct and it was only a test 3d printed shell.
