  1. If it has an NEM pocket (which it probably will), then changing the couplings will be a doddle. Peco even do 009 couplings to fit NEM pockets.
  2. Didn't RJH Kits end up with PR Model Railway Products? It might be worth asking them for copies of the instructions. They do have some on their website as downloadable PDF's, but not the kits you are looking for unfortunately. http://www.prmrp.com/
  3. Just an example. The article makes clear the train is not an indication of any future Peco product.
  4. Peco have a history of developing a range, they have done exactly that with their 009 range over the past few years. Peco made the coaches & wagons, and worked with Heljan & Kato who brought out the RTR locos. It could be argued that this tempted Bachmann into introducing their 009 range as well. More choice for the customer, Peco sell more wagons & track - everybody benefits. I am quite sure Peco will be working with other manufacturers to bring out a TT loco. I am not going to speculate who it is because I have absolutely no idea, but I am sure there will be plans under way. I wish them well with it and will follow it with interest.
  5. No, it is proper TT at 1:120 scale, not TT3 (1:100 scale) that Triang used in the 1960's.
  6. I don't think so, perhaps a bit of wishlisting going on. Mind you Dapol have done it in 2mm, 4mm and 7mm, so a 2.54mm (1/120) version is a possibility!

There was. Lemke made one under their Hobbytrain label around 2015, but they don't list anything for TT currently.
  8. I'm getting the same error message as White Rabbit, I'm a Premium subscriber too. I have nothing to sell, but it might help identify the problem. I'm on Windows 10 & Firefox 100.0.2.
  9. Allied Marine was one of my favourites too. November 1978 was when it appeared in Railway Modeller. I look forward to seeing what your P48 scrapyard looks like.
  10. Thanks Phil. I knew it was one or the other. Couldn't find my Ribble books at the time. I have updated my previous post.
  11. I haven't found a model TS8 in Ribble livery, but here are some pictures of various real Ribble TS7's & TS8's All photos fromFlickr, copyright of their original owners is acknowledged 1949 bodied TS8 Preserved TS8 Preserved TS7 Ribble was part of the Tilling BET Group until nationalisation, so if you can find a model with similar BET Group livery, it is probably simpler to rename/renumber it. Transfers are available from Fox Transfers https://www.fox-transfers.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=ribble and Sunrise Transfers http://sunrisetransfers.com/cat/part021.html
  12. Interesting find Andy, looks like they might be from a 1970's collaboration between Jouef & K's, and included some other European prototypes as well. http://www.joueftrains.com/Whitemetal.htm
  13. Another successful sign up and login here. Thanks Andy.
  14. Don't know what the prototype is, but yes it has been sold under different brand names in the past, including Heljan & Hales. I suspect it is moulded by Heljan & supplied to Gaugemaster under a licensing agreement.
  15. Talking of mobile ticket offices, this British Pathe film shows (briefly) both sides of one in 1949: https://www.britishpathe.com/video/mobile-ticket-office This is more in line with Merfyn's pictures than the the one Paul is asking about. Given the different years (1949 & 1970) is it possible the NCL trailer may perhaps have been rebuilt from an earlier mobile ticket office?
  16. Thank you for the clarification Brian, I wasn't aware of that. I have done a bit more digging on here, and I think the thread(s) the OP is looking for is one of these: Both around June 2015. Sadly neither have the photos back yet. Hope this helps.
  17. White livery with an orange band suggests it is possibly an ICI tank of some sort. https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/privateownerchemicaltank I have not been able to find any articles on here specifically about ICI tanks using the Lima model, but perhaps someone else might remember the thread?
  18. Both still showing as 'future,' so not arrived yet. https://www.oxforddiecast.co.uk/collections/1-76/products/austin-champ-4th-rhar-7th-arm-division-germany-1957-76ac001 https://www.oxforddiecast.co.uk/collections/1-76/products/bedford-bedford-rl-58-company-rasc-cyprus-76rl002 Thanks
  19. I have just measured my V60 with a similar idea. The motor on the V60 fills the cab, and the cab on the Class 14 is a bit smaller than the V60 cab, so it will be a bit of a tight squeeze to get the Roco mechanism into an H0 Teddy Bear. Not to say it can't be done, but it will probably need a bit of judicious filing of both body and motor casing to get it to fit.
  20. The brick and stone building opposite the tram stop is the frontage of the old tram depot, later the bus depot. It was retained when they built a new building behind it (apartments I think). Here is a link to it when it was being rebuilt http://www.britishtramsonline.co.uk/news/?p=34088
  21. The Tower Models kit is now with Peco, part of their Modelscene range.
  22. There are a few SELNEC Nationals https://flic.kr/p/dfuQ5x First National in their fleet was 1972, SELNEC became GMPTE in 1974.
  23. An excellent choice of subject. Leyland Nationals played a large part in my childhood. Both of my parents worked for Ribble buses, and we lived in a house owned by Ribble, right next door to the paint shop & staff car park until I was 21. So it would have to be Mk1 in Poppy Red for me please. I remember that bus, Ribble used it on a circular route in Skelmersdale before it went to Crosville. The batteries were in a heavy 6 wheel trailer IIRC. It turned up one evening at the works in Preston, after the working day had ended and it needed to go into the paint shop. The paint shop was a big building with centre door, where you drove in, then reversed into one of the bays down either side of the building. Having a trailer, reversing this bus was like reversing an HGV, which of course none of the bus drivers were familiar with. As my dad worked there, I was allowed to stand at the door and watch. It must have taken them a good half hour to get that bus in the paint shop bay, because the battery trailer kept jacknifing! I believe that was also the reason why it was kept on a circular route, and probably why no more were built.
  24. There's an article in Railway Modeller for June 1979, entitled 'Minor surgery to an old lady,' which covers improvements to the then Triang Caledonian Single. I presume the current R2610 is the same body moulding. One of the reasons for its strange looks it is around 6mm too long, which the article addresses by telling you where to shorten the body, but the author also shortened the front bogie and moved its pivot point back a bit. That's a bit more than what I would class as 'minor' surgery, but it might be worth looking the article up if anyone is interested in doing the conversion.
  25. Can't help with the shade of green I'm afraid, but Sentinel transfers are available from Railtec https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=1355 Plus the Sentinel swords are available as etched NS from Judith Edge Kits https://ukmodelshops.co.uk/catalogue/judithedge.html Hope this helps Moxy
