  1. Floorboards are now all down! It is now looking like a proper room. Sorry no pics, the dark nights beat me. Cheers, Ade.
  2. I think the lighter ash looks good. Cheers, Ade.
  3. Finally a dry day! Got almost all the insulation boards on the roof. Just the last 38 inch to do now. Cheers, Ade.
  4. Llareggub gets out and about and was on show at GCR Model Railway show this summer. It was one of the highlights of the show for me. Cheers, Ade.
  5. Very nice indeed and worth all the effort. Cheers, Ade.
  6. Some more decorated samples to see here: https://www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?utm_campaign=hattonsoclassa4paintedsamples&utm_medium=content&id=149&utm_source=newsletter&_ke=eyJrbF9lbWFpbCI6ICJhc3VtbWVyb2Y0NEBhb2wuY29tIiwgImtsX2NvbXBhbnlfaWQiOiAiSkdRZVhoIn0%3D
  7. Hi Barnaby, thanks as always for the comments. The Toad has now been given a spay coat of Matt enamel varnish. Very cuffed with how well the decals look. The cabin built has progressed a bit further over the weekend. The floorboards are now all down in the rear of the cabin and all the floor insulation is now in place. Just need a good dry day to get the roof insulation in place. This is chipboard bonded with the foam insulation so it has got to be a dry day when it goes on, cannot get it wet. Cheers, Ade.
  8. Hi Amanda, I changed over to O gauge after returning to railway modelling after 40 year break. I used to do OO. I have not looked back and I think you will enjoy the benefits of working in 7mm. I look forwards to seeing a track plan develop. Cheers, Ade.
  9. Any takers on these? If not they can go to the Grandkids. Cheers, Ade.
  10. The decals are now in place. Next job is a coat of matt varnish to seal them in and dull over the gloss undercoat to where the decals sit. I must say I was most impressed with how well the decals went on. They sit down really well into the gaps between the planks of the bodywork. I used Steve's tip of a drop of PVA in the water when soaking the decals. Still not completely finished as the glazing needs to be fitted, as well as the roof, plus of course some weathering. Cheers, Ade.
  11. Hi Andy, yes the buffers are still available. Please PM your address. Cheers, Ade.
  12. Back home from Egypt to all this lousy rain...so no progress can be made on the cabin until we get a dry day or two in order to fit the roof insulation . But on the modelling front, I have given the Toad brake van a couple of coats of gloss varnish today in readiness to apply the Railtec decals. Also found time to pop in to see Andy today and have a chinwag. Cheers, Ade.
  13. Hi Dave, the gear puller is already spoken for. But you are most welcome to the buffers and couplings. These owe me nothing, so just the postage is all I want. Cheers, Ade.
  14. Hi Guys, I have a part set of the Lledo vehicles to give away. One van is missing, but the others are present in the box with the limited edition certificate. Scale is not given, but I would guess would be ok for a 4mm layout? Just pay the postage. Cheers, Ade.
  15. Great photos as ever Gilbert . I always enjoy your images. But as another thread had canopy nudging as a sub theme, I can see this one going to hut nudging.. Cheers, Ade.
  16. Hi Guys, the rain has set me back a bit but some progress has been made. The fuse box is in place and the doors are on but need final adjustment and some more floorboards are down. Feeling a bit down due to the weather set backs, and I guess this is not helped as it is just a year tomorrow since I lost my Mum and this is playing on my mind.. But on brighter note, I am off on holiday again in the morning to Egypt for a week. Cheers, Ade.
