  1. Ive got the file in my done up Hornby version with an EM2 if i remember, sounds fantastic, im sure there is a vid on my channel somewhere. hopefully Bif can find the time to look into a file for sarah siddons soon, have sent him recordings!
  2. Excited to see all the projected timelines for doing chassis ect, will motivate me to finish my 378 as chopping 170s up is a pain haha.
  3. Bachmann late as usual then, no suprises there haha. cheers for info.
  4. Its now done bu a guy called Charlie and a company called Scaleology
  5. Incredible as always Richard. Imo the best OO gauge layout on here/youtube. wish i could visit!
  6. Good old ebay. i sold my O gauge shelf layout in January. buyer paid then messaged asking if i could hold onto it until after lockdown. Didnt really want to but said i would to be nice. 5 months later get a message that a case has been opened for a non delivered item….. the guy says he has changed his mind and wants his money back. naturally they side with him and refund him, yet i dont get any of my paypal fees back, so i have given them money for absolutely nothing. becoming a joke on there now tbh.
  7. you really need a LOT of watch time on your vids to make a decent amount. as an example i make probs £60-£80ish each time i get paid on there, im just over 3.5k subs if that helps.
  8. Tbh i dont know about others but in my case i just do it because i find the feedback interesting and i find the comments ect very motivational and rewarding. Its an awful lot of effort to do though, as it means stuff takes 3x as long as you are constantly messing about sorting camera stuff out, getting a good angle of what you are doing and trying not to say something stupid. Then there is the sheer time it takes just to edit up a video so that its not utter garbage. Im not sure i would say im some sort of ‘Influencer’ though, just a guy enjoying his hobby. I guess some people out there think of it a bit differently though, who knows. Must admit other than Richard of Everard Junction i dont actually watch many others religiously really. his is just genuinely excellent content. No showing off, just consistently good modelling with no bull. More channels like his would do the hobby a lot of good. Interesting to hear you guys thoughts on it all tbf. Eric
  9. A painted up headlamp to fit thats added into the detailing bag would actually be a great idea in my opinion. if someone fancies asking Bachmann about that then fire away!
  10. Yeah spot on James, i myself will likely fit some replica railways headlight mouldings and look into the roof detail but they wont put me off buying them. as someone who has painted one, the lining is a nightmare, even with transfers. also disassembly of the handrails ect is a pain too and leaves you with broken bits. bachmanns paint finish is always spot on though so theyll look amazing
  11. I asked about the roof detail on 20142 being added (as its present on the 20/3 tool) and wether 20227 would have the nose end headlight as its in the standard position. this is the seemingly copy & paste response i recieved. Urgh. but yeah seems that what you can see in the pics is what you will get. its a shame that they arent tooling for headlights ect on such a new model but i giess im just glad they are being produced.
  12. I have emailed them to ask, will see what they say
  13. Guess mine will be going up for sale then! seems odd not to put the headlight on 20227 as its in the usual position.
  14. Yeah mine has the adjustable power supply, i have it on 16 i think, i only use ESU decoders though so better quality stuff perhaps. Not heard of an issue with decoders failing from it but sounds interesting!
  15. ha! Bingo! Powercab will likely be your issue then. you can buy a higher voltage power supply from DCC Concepts - which SHOULD solve the problem in theory. I had the same symptoms, trains were running okay in one direction but change the point and it will just short the layout & relay on the autofrog become EXTREMELY hot. i tried a friends gaugemaster prodigy just out of curiosity as we suspected the powercab and bingo. think the powercab is only 14-15V track power instead of the usual 16+ from memory. i upgraded controller instead as i wanted to expand anyway, to a DR5000 and with the higher track voltage i also noticed much improved running with all my locos - so it may actually do you a slight favour! but yeah, i had the same as you, your layout is likely fine mate. eric
  16. Using a controller with a low track voltage can cause this issue, such as a powercab ect. try and borrow someone elses dcc control setup to eliminate this, as you may end up chasing problems that dont exist and ripping track up for no reason.
  17. Can change this in the decoders file, probs be a nightmare via CVs mind without a programmer.
